It often happens in his seminars that John-Roger begins by offering a statement of wisdom. In this seminar, he begins this way, “So… peace is a state of active awareness! Isn’t that a contradiction in terms!?” J-R often follows a statement with an amusing demonstration or dramatization of the theme for the evening.<\/p>\n
In this one, J-R begins with a dialogue he held with God about his reluctance to take on the evening’s seminar. “In this small quiet place of meditation that I can get into, “he says, “I heard, ‘Here will be some of the material for the seminar.’ And so I say, ‘I’m waiting Lord.’ Then I heard, ‘In Egypt you will find part of the solution.’ At the time, I wasn’t even close to going to Egypt. And do you know, within a short while, we were there! I remembered God’s words in the meditation, ‘The answer will be found in Egypt.’ ” And there is the seminar theme, encompassing peace and active awareness.<\/p>\n
“We should place our desires into the highest form of consciousness we can find,” J-R says, “and that will be inside of ourselves Not in someone else. Inside of ourselves. The principals of peace are inside of us.”<\/p>\n
