John-Roger begins the lively seminar with this observation, “We\u2019re looking now at young people who want instant gratification, and have not learned how to postpone gratification.” That wouldn’t be you he’s talking about….would it? Just consider that smart phone in your hand. You’ve learned that it can get you anything you want when you want it. Right? OK, what’s wrong with instant gratification, if anything?<\/p>\n
J-R reminds us that it hasn’t been so long ago that, “We were all taught how to postpone, how to hold back, how to wait. Try that today. Tell somebody to wait a little while longer and see what they say to you.”<\/p>\n
This seminar will be useful for you if you have an aspiration to connect with your inner God. Here’s J-R’s big key, “I do know,” he says, “that in order to go inward, one of the things you must take with you is patience. If you go inside and you find God you won’t have to be at work on time. You won’t have to go to the toilet. All this is suspended; it\u2019s stopped. So I say, ‘Why don\u2019t you enter into patience?”<\/p>\n
