The title of this seminar points to John-Roger’s message about the responsibility each of us has for our own life. “Many people have asked me a question that I find very difficult to answer,” J-R begins, “and that is, ‘How do you make your life go so smoothly?’ And I always say, ‘It is only apparent smoothness, because we all are subject to the laws of the physical realm while we’re here.”
Offering many anecdotes and stories for illustration, J-R speaks about how we sometimes handle situations in this lifetime that we set up in some previous existence. Karma isn’t just good for one lifetime, you know. However, what do we do when things happen to us that we don’t understand? J-R quotes a student on this point. “Something inside says, ‘I want to know who I am and where I’m going and what I’m here on this planet for and what it’s all about.’ And I’m saying, ‘Look, that’s like going to a movie and creating what you think that movie should be …and it’s not. But I’ll tell you how to have that if you want it, and it’s all your responsibility. I’ll give you the keys right now.’ ”
