You’re human, aren’t you? Well then, this seminar is for you because in it, John-Roger is
talking turkey about one of the biggest challenges we humans have: the challenge of what
to do with our resentment. As he says at the beginning, “We’re talking about how you get
yourself in trouble, and how you can get yourself out of it if you really want to do that.”

After delivering quite a discourse on Christianity, the Bible and the questionable uses to which both have been put in the line of resentments, J-R says, “The Bible is a great book and should be read as literature, if nothing else. But in the beginning, when Eve partook of the fruit, there was a tempter, one who presented her with something, and, yeah, she bit. At that time was set
into motion that very process by which mankind would fall: temptation.”

What follows is a fascinating look at how temptation and resentment work in our lives. Our egos come into play here. “The thing that’s interesting,” J-R continues, “is all the way down through humanity, our reaction to each new temptation has corrupted us because, like the first one, we gave in.” Then through stories, illustrations and jokes, J-R shows us how ‘giving in’ works against us in our daily lives. “Evil has a value, believe me, it does,” he says. “It brings your weakness to light so you can know it. Then, if you want to change it, that’s another story.”

J-R holds up the Light as a motivator. “When you start that moment of transforming yourself, you start gaining strength. And that strength will start transferring into other areas of your life.”
