Let your spouse, your boss, your employees, your family - everyone - gain their own experiences. Your experiences are necessary for your growth. Their experiences are necessary for their growth. You can tell them what worked for you, but if they do not follow that, do not berate them. Let them do it their way because they will anyway; just recognize that they have that right.
