Mysticism of Sound: Attuning to the Sound Current of God
Since the beginning of time, mystics have cherished the Sound Current as the silent pulse of God’s presence—a resonance echoing from the Heart of creation. In the East, saints of India and the Himalayas named it Anahata Naad, the “unstruck sound” that sings in the heart and in the silence between breaths. Sufis speak of this divine Sound Current as Saut-e Sarmad. Hearing Saut-e Sarmad and meditating on it frees the Soul from all bounds, worries, and fears to become one with the all-pervading music that keeps the universe in motion.
