The value in spiritual exercises is that you make the Spirit familiar to you, so you can replace the familiarity of the world's distractions, activities, and excitements with the familiarity of the Spirit inside.

Don't hurt yourself and don't hurt others. Take care of yourself so you can help take care of others. Use everything for your upliftment, learning, and growth. To some people these ground rules seem too simple, even simplistic. But think how your life would change if you lived them, really lived them! It may sound silly, but applying these rules to whatever you do really will guarantee a fulfilling life. Your Spirit will converge and you will live in higher awareness.

Sometimes people are uncomfortable with the term Christ or the name Jesus, but it is not necessary to get hung up on words or names. If one of those words bothers you, you could substitute the word love for Jesus and Christ when you hear them, and then see if that frees you up inside.

Within you always is an opportunity to be a clear channel for Spirit. Develop your awareness, and be more willing to abide in what is true for you.

The teachings of the Movement are "et cetera," ETC, which means Eternally Traveling Consciousness. It has no period at the end because it goes on and on forever. You continue on in spite of everything. You disregard everybody and all situations that would block you. No matter what psychic influence impinges upon you, no matter who kicks you out the door, no matter how many times you get fired, no matter how many heart attacks you have -- it's always et cetera.

If you tell them the whole truth and they "hassle" you, guess what? You'll build strength. And you'll build trust. You will trust yourself more and they will trust you more.

The only things needed from you in your life are involvement, commitment, support, and expression of loving. That's all, and on this planet of negativity, that's a lot.

It is through the consciousness of loving that we reach into the Divine within us, into who we truly are.

Maybe you need to understand yourself. And when you do this, you find out what it's like to walk with the Beloved. God bestows grace upon every Soul because God bestows grace upon Itself. And through that grace, God is saying, "Everything is all right."

When we ask for help through attuning within to what is true and loving, that shows our openness to let Spirit come in.
