One becomes acquainted with the Self through the process of spiritual exercises. Many of us have been asleep to ourselves for eons of time. When you take the time each day to sit down and do your spiritual exercises, you allow time to become awakened to yourself again. No one else can really tell you who you are.

If you ask for the truth, then demonstrate the truth. If you ask for the truth and demonstrate a lie, your actions will speak louder than words, and the lie will be laid at your doorstep.

It matters little what someone else has or has not done. What matters is what you're doing right now.

Once your intention toward higher awareness is clear, you will begin to move up, instead of moving horizontally. You will see that your existence is not confined to this world. You will begin to live your everyday life in greater awareness of the now. The mistakes, the decisions, and the fantasies of yesterday will belong to yesterday, not today or tomorrow.

If you say, "I just don't understand her," you won't. If you say, "I just can't do that," you can't. You create your own reality, your own laws, out of your own divine nature. For the sake of God within you, and for the sake of God beyond you, get smart. You create your own hell; you create your own heaven. As a creator, it's your choice.

Dear God, we are grateful for what we have been given and have given in return. And now we are seeing that endless cycle of what you have placed in our consciousness as co-creators from the beginning -- to be those who give and receive joyfully, who proclaim your witness into all creation, and who know that your will is done.

Perhaps you are always so busy in your mind, with your opinions, and your judgments, that you never give yourself a chance to listen to God's voice. Yet you say, "When God tells me, I'll listen." Try quieting and attuning yourself to the place inside where God is speaking.

Dwell quietly in your Soul, in your true self. Remember that the main qualities of the Soul are loving, peace, and joy.

In the midst of the negativity of people criticizing and accusing, if you can turn around at the one who throws the mud and just wash your windshield so you can see more clearly and give them love back -- that's the moment of your growth.

A good way to start understanding your dreams more is to keep a journal of them, in which you briefly write down what you dream. Often, you can look back a month or two later and understand more about your dreams and the symbolism in them. Before you go to bed, you can also put into the Light for the highest good that you remember and understand your dreams and that any information you need to know will come in ways that you will understand consciously. And it is always a good idea to ask that the Traveler be with you during the dream state.
