Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
Dreaming takes place within a person's own levels of consciousness, the lower levels, the inner realms, the "worlds without end." For the most part, what we call the night travel takes place on the spiritual levels and is that part of sleep-state activity that can be used towards Soul Transcendence.
There is great value in being able to partake and thrive through challenging situations. Rather than choose to find fault or to criticize or judge, you can choose to find your gratitude and offer up your prayer of thanks to God in the Highest. Dwell upon gratitude until joy and harmony are your way of being.
As you explore your inner space more and more, you come to have a clearer understanding of who you are. In that understanding is compassion and acceptance and loving; judgments fade. Harshness is replaced by gentleness. Rule by the sword is replaced by an inner discipline that consistently chooses positive expression. Law is replaced by grace.
Waking up means observing yourself to find out what you are doing. This is really the easiest process in the world. It is called meditation. People complain to me that they have been meditating for many years and all they see is darkness. They get irritated and angry. But remember, you don't have to do anything with that darkness. Get rid of your false expectations of what spiritual experience means: Just be silent, and observe your darkness. If you could just realize it, God is speaking through the blackness that you see. But you are so busy being uptight and resenting it that you fail to hear God's voice.
I can't say it enough times: check out everything for yourself. Don't give over your control to anyone. Certainly, you can listen to what other people say, walk out into life, put it into practice in a small way, and see if it works. If it does, great; move into it a little more and see if it keeps on working. Use it as long as it works. When it doesn't, keep on walking.
Q: Sometimes I fall asleep during spiritual exercises, though I really don't want to. One minute I'm awake and aware, and then sometime later, I'll "wake up." It really bothers me, and I wonder if you have any suggestions for how I can stop this. A: We will sometimes think it's bad to do this, but we shouldn't because we may not know all that's going on. Falling asleep may be a way to take you across consciousness into the Soul realm. If you look at it this way, sleep would be a valuable commodity. You are saying it's bad, and I'm saying it's just another one of the methods. And if you'd like to be aware of moving into the Soul realm, you need to learn how to stay awake through the sleep part until you get over to the other side (the Soul realm) where there is awareness. That takes a lot of practice, but keep at it. Your intention to do this is a big key.
Observation and letting go will ultimately lead you to a greater awareness of the joy that we are, the bliss that is present.
A balancing of karma can occur when you serve others in your family, community, and the world. As John-Roger said, "Service is the highest form of consciousness on the planet."
If I act out of integrity and loving, it doesn't matter who is right. It doesn't even matter what happens. What does matter is what I have invested inwardly. If I am attached to my history of limitations, which weighs down the present, I have lost the war even if I win the battle. If I present myself and my point of view in loving, with no attachments to the outcome, I have won before any battle has started.
I've given you the key to the inner worlds and told you that you have to build some muscle, through spiritual exercises, in order to get there. Spend a little time with the Mystical Traveler. Just forsake this world for a little while and go with the Traveler to where you are. Some of you do your spiritual exercises and touch into your reality for a little bit, and things straighten out really well; then you go off and gallivant around and forsake the very thing that you are. And you wonder what's wrong. Do your spiritual exercises until you are so full inside that no matter where you go and what you do, that fullness is always there.
