Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
Spiritual exercises are not the goal. They are the means to achieve the goal. The goal is Soul awareness or God-awareness. The value in spiritual exercises is that you make the Spirit familiar to you so that you can replace the familiarity of the world's distractions, activities, and excitements with the familiarity of the Spirit inside.
Spiritual fulfillment is a knowing that who you are overcomes all things that could ever challenge you. It's an understanding that you are complete. It's not something that we can fully speak to in this world. We can't show it to you, hold it up to you and say "Here is your spiritual fulfillment." It's something you already know inside of yourself or you know enough about it that you want it. We call it Soul Transcendence.
Some of you have had difficulty dealing with your body, mind and emotions. We come into the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness and many experiences take place inwardly. All of a sudden an inner thing happens and you say, "My God, what was that?" You just entered the next phase of your inner existence and no one else around you may know that has taken place. That's fine, because who cares anyway? Actually you and I do -- and mostly you, because I already have mine established. I am just working with you on your establishment.
By getting away from your physical body, by getting high enough in consciousness, you find that everything is here and now. When you get high enough, you don't have to stare into space or look into flames; you don't have to daydream or use your imagination. You're out of time from a higher consciousness. You don't look at a back track or a forward track; you see directly -- not by way of illusion, hallucination, wishful thinking or urging of your reproductive system. From the higher consciousness, you won't be caught in those lower areas. You'll be high enough to see clearly. The big challenge then becomes getting back smoothly into the physical consciousness, into the stream of life, moving through all its rapids and currents in full awareness. You learn how to move out of timeline and then back into timeline through practice, practice, practice.
Q: When I chant my initiation tone, I feel a real attunement with my true self or the Beloved, but I don't hear sounds and don't have anything fantastic going on. What is the Sound Current? A: The Sound Current is the true self. When you are in the Sound Current, you may feel a vibration, a rhythm, a hum, a tone. If you are with the Beloved, you don't need anything else because you're riding right in the center of the Sound Current, and like the center of the storm, it is quiet and calm. What we do in spiritual exercises is to work towards the center, towards the Sound, the true self, the Beloved.
Do yourself a big favor and don't look for perfection here. If I could say, "God, grant them one wish," it would be, "Grant them that they will make the best use that they can muster of what comes their way. And then go on."
Through Christ all has been delivered through the Spirit, and we are in process of cooperating with the manifestation of God's blessings, which already are. We become jubilant in celebration that our prayers are answered, not necessarily in the way we requested or hoped for, but in the way that serves our Soul, our true self, and our spiritual destiny.
Walk cautiously. Do not pick up someone's karma, rather let them work it out themselves. Teach people to do things for themselves rather than doing everything for them, thus assisting people in becoming self-sufficient.
We're always doing something, for good or for bad, as a necessity of our life. Then we let these necessities become our focus, and that becomes our obsession or our compulsion. Then we spend the rest of the time working through obsessions and compulsions. When you come to the state of being, there are no compulsions. Being just expresses itself through you as limitless love and energy. Whatever you do, you walk in your state of being, and, therefore, the action is karmically free.
Kids, in their actions, teach each other to withstand the world. The play they go through teaches them how to win and lose both inside and outside. If they play a game and lose and become so frustrated that they have a temper tantrum or have to go to their room, they may not be learning. When they can say, "It was just a game," and go on to the next thing, then they're learning. If they can let the other children win, then they walk away winners, too. This is cooperation and flexibility.
