Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
Critical thinking is the process of examining the possibilities, looking at potential outcomes. It becomes negative only if I project my emotion on it. But if I can employ my intellect, just observing, looking, sorting, I can turn the possibilities into usable commodities. How does it work? Here is a little metaphor. You go into a dark room, looking for something. You're not sure where exactly it is in the room. Rather than groping around in the dark for it, the critical thinker looks first for the light switch. When the room is flooded with light it is an easy matter to find what you are looking for.
The loving presence, often accompanied by such feelings as peace, joy, etc., is the hallmark of the Traveler's presence in spiritual exercises (s.e.'s) or a dream -- or anywhere, for that matter.
The way has already been prepared for you. All you have to do is walk it.
Make a list. In one column, what you don't want. Other column, what you do want. Make a decision about what your life is about. It's either negative or positive about what is to become of your life. Once you make the decision, make a deep, deep commitment, with God as your partner, to make it happen for the highest good of all concerned. Make it happen. Stop switching up/down as that just creates ineffectively. Stay on purpose. Keep the focus going. Watch Rocky (the movie), Rocky, friend of Bullwinkle also works. Energy follows thought. Act like it.
Riding our enthusiasm, we can accomplish things we never thought possible. Enthusiasm gives us the ability to stay focused and achieve what needs to be done with surprising ease. This is essential in today's frenzied world, where so often we rely on caffeine or adrenaline for an energy boost. Sure, we'll get a burst of energy from drinking a double espresso, or pushing ourselves to meet a deadline, but soon enough the effect wears off, leaving us exhausted. True enthusiasm is the natural way to energy that's long-lasting.
Worry has never been known to accomplish any great solutions to situations. But moving to a place of "no time" can effectively clear the mind, allowing space for the creative intellect to solve a great deal. In a state of "no time," you are not unconscious. You may, indeed, be in a very heightened state of consciousness, a very high state of awareness. Don't worry about what you will do when you start to come down. Just go get that blissful feeling. You'll be able to handle the comeĀdown when you come down, if you come down. There's a good chance that the high you've started with will be your new low; so you get to establish newer, higher highs.
Q: I have never heard the Sound Current consciously. A: You may "hear" it inwardly, or you may also sense it or just have a knowingness. It can also be seen and smelled, and it can certainly be touched. When we smell the Sound Current, it often smells like a rose, chrysanthemums, or jasmine. You may look around, and none of those flowers are there, and no one is wearing that scent of perfume. Sometimes the Sound Current will come in as you are feeling good without knowing why. You just feel good. This can happen during s.e.'s or at any other time, because the Sound Current is all around all the time. All we're trying to do is consciously make contact with it so we can keep pulling it through more and more.
Dig deeply into the spring of love and partake of it. The supply is infinite.
I'm going to do an exercise in forgiveness. I would like you to join me and we'll just put that out for ourselves, for those who we have close to us, certainly our family and our neighbors, and even those we don't know. Dear Lord, we ask that you visit into our heart, that you bring to us our awareness of whatever we hold in judgment, and especially whoever we would hold in judgment. We ask that you lead us in forgiveness and teach us what we must do. And as we understand you show us we are to let go and be open to your mercy. We ask for our judgments to be bathed within us so we are merciful towards ourselves, that each one of us lets go of any judgment to find we are cleansed of harshness and bitterness. We especially ask that you move into what we have forgotten, into our past actions, and that you clean up and clear the transgressions that we bring to you. Thank you for the children and for showing us again and again that we all are beloved children of God. Come again and again into our midst and remind us of our innocence and our purity that lead us in the ways that we are to become like you. We are all children returning to our rightful place in your loving embrace and in your peace for all.
As you traverse back through the inner levels, you'll see a star appear. That's the star of Bethlehem, also known as the Star of David, and David translates to "The Loved One." That Star is one that you keep your eyes on in the Spirit. When you have gained the vibratory frequency to that Star -- and you may have to approach it many times, many days, many years -- it will come toward you and you will go toward it; it will burst upon you and you will be born again into a Christ. You step forward into the spiritual consciousness and see the form of the Traveler there. At that point, you travel hand-in-hand into the very heart of God.
