Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
Feel gratitude for the person next to you. You find out that this is an easier, nicer way to live than trying to beat somebody out of something, to get ahead of them and compete.
Take time to work with children. They have a consciousness that is open to learning. Show them how things work. Let them do things. Give them some information, show them something, and then let them do it. Have them play information back to you immediately. That's a test to see if they got it. When you do it that way, you don't set up the obstacle of, "There will be a test on Friday." There are tests on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Testing is a continuous state of revealing yourself to yourself.
The so-called baby boomers are a group that has a special mission from Spirit to bring more Light into the world. (We are seeing this in an even greater way in the youngsters that are being born now.) Early in their lives we saw their idealism. Now that there is more wisdom and experience it must be passed on, and the best way I know to do that is through service. Unconditional service is the highest spiritual expression on the planet. So my advice is to hold the idealism as a distant target and to actualize it through service that offers no material reward, but that assists and lifts others as the goal upon which to direct ourselves. It begins with each individual and is fulfilled as an expression of caring and goodwill toward all. That is where Spiritual Warriors find true fulfillment.
The more you can move into the Soul and bring it forward, the higher you go each day. As you feel yourself beginning to lift into Soul consciousness, if you bring your mind in, you'll bring yourself right back down here to the "tiddly-wink" games of the physical level. The trick is to just keep doing and moving forward into each new moment.
So many times, people find themselves stuck in the glamour of love, thinking it is the pure love they have been seeking. Unconditional love is not found in any outer form; you must first go to your Soul where pure love resides and then be silent. In that silence, you can change the course of your life and determine where you're going.
If the road you are on is washed out and now there is a rushing, dangerous creek where there once was a road, it would be foolish to say, "I said I was going to go down this road so I am going to go down this road!" You will go into the creek. That is "stupid" consciousness because it is not dealing in what is present. Some basic ground rules may override what you say you will do. First, take care of yourself. If whatever you are involved in is not taking care of yourself, do not do it. If you are taking care of yourself, that gives you the ability to help take care of others because you are already taken care of and in a position to offer help.
With intelligence you can bypass your prejudice. You'll know what it is, but you'll be able to hold it in line and consciously move where you wish. This process is more than using your brain. It is the Soul bringing forth its intelligence. When you get an intuitive "I see it" understanding, that's the Soul passing the spiritual energy right through the mind as intelligence.
One of the biggest jobs we have is to run our own self-correction. This is where we fight with ourselves the most. It's called "to thine own self be true." If you do something wrong, you have to run the correction so you can be true. If you want to find a fast way to run self-correction, you have to practice the ability to move into the loving heart, the spiritual heart.
Do spiritual exercises so you can find out for yourself what we're talking about. Spiritual exercises provide a method for you to find out for yourself the truth of anything that we tell you.
Each heart awakens a little more as it trusts itself.
