We always have to come back to this: what does the form of God represent to us? It represents a place to focus our attention. The focusing of the attention starts to release the Spirit because Spirit is none other than the attention. And when the attention moves, the Spirit moves. In the Bible, it says to pray unceasingly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Why does it say that? To remind you to keep your eye single and upon God.

No one in this world is going to hand you anything; the world is not designed for that. You may undergo trials of illusion and forms of behavior modification, but at some point your consciousness will be connected to the Light and Sound of God.

A great key in this process is to be patient with yourself and others and with how all is working out. Remember, you are a Soul temporarily living in the world. This is not your true home. Use everything for upliftment while you are here.

God gives you many teachers, many gurus, many people to lift you and assist you. What about the person you married? What about your children? They are part of your prayer. They are your answer, your teachers sent by God. The answers to your prayers walk toward you all the time. Maybe you pray for a better job, and then the boss fires you. You say, "Oh God, what am I going to do now?" Well, you couldn't get the better job as long as you had this one. Now you are free to get the job you really want.

If you create an attitude of supporting yourself and others in doing the best you and they can, many aspects of creating your abundance can fall into line. Many people think that wanting the best from themselves and others can often be demanding and painful. It doesn't have to be. You don't have to demand or expect it. You can go for it with encouragement and enthusiasm. It's a matter of recognizing that "going for it" is a matter of first doing the best you can, which may not always be perfect. You don't have to berate others or "get on their case" just because they made a mistake. The key attitude is one of assisting yourself and others in correcting ourselves on the way to doing the best that can be done.

If you want Soul Transcendence and into God, keep your eyes on God.

Light, the divine energy from Spirit, is within each and every one of us. Whether that energy is used for the highest good often depends on our attitude. By choosing to choose, by focusing your mind, body, and heart, by doing what it takes to do the best you can, and by making a safe place for others to participate with you as they do the best they can, you can readily access the Light.
