While in our false-self state of awareness, we tend to focus on material things. We fantasize that if we had the right job, a great relationship, and enough money, life would be perfect. Ironically, the fulfillment of that "perfect-life" fantasy in reality has nothing to do with the outer world. Fulfillment is found in the contentment and joy we experience when we are living in the true self, irrespective of external conditions.

Those who are negative thrive on the attack. The more negativity you give them that has your Light and love in it, the more strong and righteous they feel. But what are they going to do for you after they have gone? Nothing. What are you going to do for yourself after they're gone? You're going to do bewilderment, confusion, and hurt; you're going to feel abandoned and separated from God and yourself; you're going to have difficulty finding life worth living. When you can put on the armor of the Spiritual Warrior, you can begin to protect and take care of yourself because you will not be duped into believing their illusions and negative view of things. You will be stronger in maintaining your own awareness of self and Spirit.

When we get to know who we are in the Spirit, and in the Soul, it's so much more beautiful and magnificent than what's here. As we know our life in the Spirit, the opposite sense may start taking place where we might wonder, "What am I doing here in this world when I can be there in Spirit?" In asking that question, there's a part of us that's not realizing the value of experiencing what's going on in this world. Every aspect of every experience can be utilized to expand and open into new awareness.
