There is nothing in existence other than right now. When we go into memory, we're no longer present in the Spirit. We're in a contraction of the mind and the emotions, and it actually has no value for us. The teaching of the world is of contraction. The teaching of the Mystical Traveler is of expansion.

The Light is already here. It never leaves us. By calling ourselves forward to the Light, we are acknowledging that and stating what the process is. We are saying, in effect, "I know you are always here, God, and I am consciously bringing myself into your presence now, so that I can have a fuller knowledge and experience of you."

Direct your sourcing within first and be patient with how the Spirit of truth chooses to reveal to you. Often there are limitations and conditions that are on purpose with your levels of ability and knowledge so that you are not given what you cannot handle. Be patient, go at your pace gradually and freely expressing your true nature. There is no need to do this world in self doubt or fear. Instead, go with what you know and be open to your wisdom including what comes naturally from within you as you direct yourself to the inner spiritual awareness. There is no rush to do what you need to learn so take your sweet time.

There are people who have incarnated with much negativity. You must understand that this is so. You will encounter them in life. The higher you move in Light, the more they want your Light. They don't know they have their own Light and they don't realize they can't have anyone else's. If you are going along with their judgments and are open and pleasant, they enter in "legally." It is not a crime for them to do this. That's why it is so important to place the Light around you as your shield, to place loving in your heart, and to make sure that what you do is an experience of truth and Light.

There are techniques that can assist. They will not do it for you. A technique only works as long as you work it. When you no longer do it, it can become empty and meaningless. As you reprogram yourself and recondition yourself, you may use many techniques. Some may work for only a short time, but long enough for you to get through to a better technique.

Q: How do we call in the Light? A: We use the expression "call in the Light," but the Light is always here, so we actually call ourselves forward into the Light. There are many techniques for asking for the Light, and the main idea is along these lines: "If this is for my highest good and for theirs, then I would like the Light to be placed with me, with them, and with this situation." If your intention is clear that you are asking for the spiritual Light for the highest good, you can also just say, "Light." This is the first thought in some people's minds when they hear a siren or hear about a situation that is distressing or challenging in some way. Some people read the newspaper and listen to news on TV, and in their consciousness is "Light" for all they read, hear, or see.

The Light is in everything; it's in every aspect of your experience and your expression. You have never been less than the Light. The Light is not sitting around, chanting, and looking holy all day. The Light is the total beingness of all consciousness, on all levels, at all times. The Light is everywhere. When you accept that, you've made your first step.

Perhaps we're still answering Cain's question to God [Genesis, 4:9] and in a vital way for each one of us. To me, we are to be our brothers' and sisters' keepers and to do what we can to assist one another. That's when we experience our human connection and divinity. So I choose to answer, "Yes. I am my brother's and my sister's keeper."

As a creative artist, you can paint the picture of your life. If you see that some behavior or attitude does not fit into the artistic vision of your life, then it is probably not working for you. Have the courage and wit to change the artistic style, and creatively commit to another approach. Artists experiment and take risks in order to get in touch with the original expression inside them. Take the artistic risk and get in touch with you inside.

Those of you who are climbing the inner path need only one blessing -- endurance -- for those who keep the spiritual law to the end and endure all things receive the most precious gift of Soul awareness, which is eternal life through eternal awareness on any level in any existence. This means that no matter what happens, no matter how you feel, no matter how anybody else feels, no matter what you think, no matter what anyone else thinks, you go on. No matter what is or is not, you go on. You really have no other choice. So regardless of what is said, regardless of what happens, you always keep going on to the next thing. If you're right, you keep going. If you're wrong, you keep going. Right or wrong is not even a point of contention. Keep going. If you're in an illusion, go through it. If you're in truth, go on to greater truths.
