Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
When you deny something or call it evil, you give power to a negative point of view. In reality, you are Light, and you give Light wherever you place your consciousness.
Go ahead and just be happy.
There are techniques, like chanting tones, that are tied to the levels of Spirit awakening within us. By doing this, we gain strength of spirit. Often people think we gain strength of spirit by facing an adversary here in this world, like the "devil." I don't think that's gaining spiritual strength as much as it is delineating the parameters in which the "devil" functions, so that we can place the devil in a holding action. To gain strength means we go into Spirit, to reside there in a greater consciousness that exists while we're here on this level.
There will come a time when you will receive the divine Light and know it in your consciousness. You will receive your own awakening and say, "I am already that of which you speak. I am the love of which you speak."
Be in communion with the Lord. Calm. Clear. Relaxed. Beautiful. Nurturing. Healing. Restoring. Renewing. Forgive. Really forgive. Completely forgive. Forgive completely. Trust. Trust in God. Trust in the Lord, the chief emissary sent as your companion, best friend. Trust in Self. You chose this. You created this. Do the learning. Do the growth. Appreciate the value. Appreciate the opportunity. Give gratitude. Be grateful. Be humble and willing to serve, first to your Self, and then in the overflow, to all of God's creation.
It's really nice to know that we're controlling our future in the sense that we come under the Divine guidance and make our will one with God's will. It doesn't take anything away from us; we don't lose individuality, we don't lose respect, we don't lose anything. We can still go out, get drunk, fall in the ditch, and still be in God's will, because nothing is taken away from us. We just know that what we're doing is part of the Divine plan. When we are outside of knowing it's part of the Divine plan, we get drunk and fall, and we think we're a dirty alcoholic. Or if we see somebody else do that, we say, "What a terrible person. They ought to go to hell or be locked up." But when we come back into God's will, we say, "I can see this. This is your last lifetime, and you're fighting off the negativity this way. Let me help you up." And then we become not do-gooders, but people who are just doing the goodness.
If you hear people saying, "Run here, run there. Go here. Go do this," for God's sake and your own, pack up your bag and leave in the night, for they would deny you the experience of your unfolding. Often, the experience is a struggle. But the struggle is not anguish or pain. It is God revealing itself to God. It is the awakening, the moving away of those things that have become sacrosanct in our minds, in our values, and in our emotions. We're not going to give these things up because we ask, "What will I have left?" When you give it all up, what will be left? The Light behind the shadows will be all that is left. That's you. You're the Light behind all the shadows -- the shadows you create for yourself, and those that you create for others.
The mind is not necessarily a tool for understanding. It's a tool for gathering information. The spiritual heart is the tool for understanding. And the Soul is the "tool" for truth.
The purpose of life is quite simply to live. The question then becomes, how are you going to live? If, when contemplating your life purpose, you find words and concepts coming to mind such as service, sharing, compassion, loving, empathy, or kindness, you probably will not be truly satisfied until a goodly portion of your life is involved in giving and serving.
Take a holiday from worrying, doubting and fearing by going non-stop to trust in the Lord. Once you arrive, notice you can take up residence on an ongoing basis.
