Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
There is no real source of fear, but there is a real feeling of fear. If fear has no real source, and it's a real feeling, where is this fear coming from? We are creating it. Restraint works to produce the feeling of fear. Your feelings about something are what you are doing inside. It's your energy following your thoughts or perceptions. We can experience things that do not have a real source to them. But the mind and the emotions don't know that and can live in fear and amplify it using that as the reason not to perform in this world. Your internal dialogue will sound something like, "What will they think of me? What if I fail? What if I'm no good? What if I make a mistake?" The cure for fear is empathy. Empathy is a form of understanding.
One of the greatest keys in my armory is gratitude. Through gratitude I can always go to a more expansive and deeper level within myself. It often requires that I be more open and have a greater ability to receive, but that is what I want anyway. When I go into gratitude, I am always rewarded.
Many years ago I knew the principal of a high school who did not let his Light shine through very much. He would walk through the halls really down in the mouth, and he seldom smiled. Every time he was around, he created a lot of tension, and the teachers and students would think, "I wonder what's wrong? I wonder if I've done something wrong?" After a couple of years, that man was transferred to another school, and the new principal would smile, laugh, and share his beingness with the faculty and students. When he liked something, he would say so, and when he didn't, he would suggest changes. It was amazing how the morale of the entire school lifted because one man let the Light within him shine out and expressed the love he felt for the people around him.
Give plenty of compassion to your humanity, the ways you struggle by choice and the ways you let go of the struggle by choice. Know that the manifestations in the world are all temporary, all part of the grand illusion.
If we can get people to be self-motivating from a place of loving support and caring -- and not from the point of view of: I'll get mine before you can get yours -- we'll be halfway home. Motivation is so important. People tend to build their energy motivation primarily from food. If we could just transcend that and pull Spirit in to be used as energy, then we're dealing with a clean, refined and ecological energy source -- which happens to be the only true energy source, anyway.
If you choose to put the expression of loving into action, then that requires communication. Within the area of communication is acknowledging any broken promises. That gets to be more difficult for some people because their ego and emotions are involved. They think that if they admit they broke a promise, they are "bad," "wrong," or "not worthy"; therefore, they don't admit it. The thing is, whether they realize it or not, there is a knower within them that is totally aware that they broke an agreement. If you have any broken agreements, they are taking a great deal of your energy. Why waste your energy that way? It is much more effective for you to clean that up. Sometimes it's a simple, "Forgive me, but I promised to get this report to you by Monday, and I just won't be able to do it. Can we renegotiate?"
Maybe you are experiencing impatience now. "When is this book about health going to be over? I haven't read anything that I don't already know." Then why do you have health problems? It's because you know the information intellectually, as data, but you don't know it as the experience of living your life. That's the difference between information and experience. Information is of little use or value if you don't use it to bring forward the experience of transformation.
When you are dealing with any karmic pattern or situation, your time and focus are much better spent on loving everything in your current life and not trying to go back and figure out or change anything in the past that might be connected to the karmic situation.
Find the harmony. Life is as simple as breathing in and breathing out. Once you find the rhythm of that, you can follow it through. If you could gain just that discipline and hold it, you would start overcoming all of this physical world.
Take authority over yourself. Quit giving it away to memories, quit giving it away to childhood experiences, quit giving it away to interactions with parents or lovers or husbands or wives or whatever. Just quit giving it away. Those things all happened. Yes, they happened. So what? Here is today. This is the moment where you say, "Yes, those things were all part of my living." You see, the choice is constantly in the mind, and it's one of choosing intellectually rather than emotionally. You don't do it as an irrational process but as a rational thought process. And it's this: If you think negatively, negativity is what you get. If you think positively, positivity is what you get.
