How do you or I know how long what is present will remain present? How do we know how conditions will change such that what was available is still available? Unless you have a crystal ball that I don't have, we don't know. This is the epitome of "time is of the essence" and the only time is now. Whatever you have been doing instead of moving onto the very next step to improve your situation is the very thing you need to stop doing. Do a check on whether you are caught up in the minutia and small stuff that would keep you from looking from the altitude that sees how things are working. This is taking care of yourself and others. This is conscious business. This is practical spirituality. Keep your eyes and ears open, watching and listening, being aware and choosing what is best in each and every moment. Change is constant. Be open, flexible, willing to be the change to whatever is serving now. In other words, wake up and do your best.

Treat each person as if he were the Master who walks with you and talks with you and blesses you by the very nature of his being with you.

John-Roger, DSS
When I look out into the world to find my reference points, before long I am projecting some kind of concern or worry about the future. When I look inside myself, check my own experience, and take a quick inventory of my blessings, life is good and I bask in gratitude.

John-Roger, DSS
Spirit is present in each step you take and each movement you make. If you bring your awareness to that each second, you are doing far more for yourself than you would do if you tried to look into the past for causes, reasons, and so on. And, of course, if any memory comes up, you can do any forgiveness that is needed, bring loving to the memory and yourself, and then get on with your life and with loving everything in your life.

Wisdom never uses threat or fear or doubt as its messengers but your awareness might, just to get your attention about what is not in your best interest. However, the negative power also liberally uses threat, fear and doubt to deceive. Choose wisely.

All the things you think you should have done that you didn't do, and all the things you did that you think you shouldn't have done, accept them. You did (or didn't) do them. That's reality. That's what happened. There's no changing the past. You can struggle with the past or pretend it didn't happen, or you can accept it. We suggest the latter. A life of guilt, fear, and unconsciousness is, to say the least, not much fun. It also takes a lot of time and energy away from giving.

John-Roger, DSS
Impatience is hurry, hurry, hurry. "Hurry up! Get it to me, right now." Some things take time. Thinking takes time. However, to speak foolishly doesn't take any time at all. When people say to me, "Hurry," I say, "Do you want it to be good, or do you just want it?" If they want it to be good, then I tell them, "You must forgive me if I take a longer time to make it better for you." They inevitably say, "Take your time."

Sometimes you may withhold your loving appreciation. It is valuable for the other person to know that you care for him or her -- not necessarily on a romantic level, but as a beautiful human being.

John-Roger, DSS
One of the most profound prayers you can whisper within the depth of your being is, "Father, Thy will be done." Then let go and let God work with you. When you utter that prayer in total sincerity and integrity, you bring yourself into alignment with Spirit and the plan God has for you in this life and for all eternity.

You're responsible for everything that's going on in your life and if you don't like it, change it.
