Anyone can play the game. As a matter of fact, almost everyone plays the game except the man of understanding. He goes through the routine with you and laughs and has a good time, and you can't understand why he's not serious about this. It's because he understands that there is nothing to be serious about, because the whole divine action of God is entirely present. And so this man of understanding is accused of being everything but understanding.

Next time you are waiting somewhere, for a bus or train, in a doctor's office, take time to listen to the silence. This is difficult, because your mind will think it's ridiculous and a waste of time, and you will start to get into a conversation with yourself. Instead of that nonsense, step into silence. If you get distracted, then bring yourself back into the silence again.

In the Bible, it is written that "he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:16). When you get to know yourself as God's beloved, you find out you love yourself. So if you are not experiencing the love of who you are, you are in some way misplacing or misdirecting your awareness into something less than loving. The great news about that is, you can change. In each and every moment, you can adjust and redirect towards the loving of who you are.

Sometimes we have trouble liking others -- loving is no problem; it's liking that's tough. "I love humanity," someone once observed, "it's people I can't stand." For givers, the best way to like someone is to do something for them. We know this goes against conventional wisdom, but givers, as you may have noticed, find wisdom in unconventional ways.

Whether it be in your work, your play, or your spiritual activities, one of the most important qualities you can bring into your life, in activity or at rest, is relaxation. It is the simplest way to regenerate your energy and move your body into greater health and well-being.

There is so much there for you, once you open yourself to it and begin to work consciously on levels higher than that of Earth. It's all a manifestation of love. Love is the matrix that makes it all possible. The energy of Spirit is the essence.

Every day, in every way, you are enough. Even though you may have habits you'd like to change, physical features you don't like, or a mind that wanders when you want it to stay focused, who you really are shines forward more brightly than any judgments you hold against yourself. Have the courage to be you. Create enough love to accept every part of yourself. And as you give these gifts to yourself, the more you will receive.

Every person is responsible for their total beingness. This does not mean that we don't assist one another by scratching backs or getting a friend a glass of water or giving them a ride downtown. It means we do all of these things -- as long as it is part of their flow of spiritual upliftment. So perhaps sometime you don't get them the water. Instead, you say, "There is the water tap, and there is the glass; help yourself." That can make them feel less dependent and more secure in their own abilities and confidence level. We often do this with youngsters so they can gain experience and increase their confidence.

If you observe yourself closely, you'll notice that the dark parts of you surface because they are looking for love. The best thing you can do is give them that love.

In the entirety of what we are doing here, we move to a consciousness of God, allowing what is of God's highest nature to become more realized in our consciousness.
