Because this physical level is a composite of all levels (physical, imaginative, emotional, mental, and unconscious), we can clear things faster from this level than from any other level below the Soul. So the Soul brings together the elements necessary to create a physical embodiment. The Soul can do this; the Soul, being divine, can do anything it wishes to do. It embodies onto this physical realm because it knows it can reveal itself faster from here than from any other level.

If you have the courage to support yourself, you might say, "I am really interested in you, and I am willing to look at things about myself that I can improve, but not on an either/or basis." If the person is ready to stick around and accept you as you are, then you have a relationship to investigate that has a chance. Remember this: if the ultimatum gauntlet is thrown down, you don't have to pick it up.

Someone said to me, "Maybe if I stick around long enough, I will learn." But even if you don't stick around long enough, Christ Jesus and friends have you covered. So relax, take it easy, enjoy the ride, enjoy the scenery, and before the next bell rings for an angel with wings, you will be home free, meaning that as you make the claim to your spiritual heritage, then you come to know you are home free. And even if you don't always realize that fact of life, it is still true. So smile just the same.

There are many different approaches to the same goal. And many of them work. I recognize that there is not just one way that works. The best thing is for you to search for, create, discover, and use the method that works for you at a particular time. How will you know what is working for you? In time, the approach will bear tangible results. If the results do not match up with what you want, then either the method doesn't work for you or you haven't worked it. What I mean by "you haven't worked it" is that perhaps you didn't really focus and apply the methodology with the persistence and endurance required. Maybe you quit early. Or maybe you did everything you could, and it still didn't work for you. If the latter is applicable in your case, have the wit to let go of what doesn't work for you and move to another approach that may very well be for your advancement.

How you act is always your choice. If you rely on the emotional energy and ride it like a flood or, in some cases, Niagara Falls, you can go with that energy. Or you can bring forth your intelligence to determine if you really want to go along with your emotions or if you want to just stand next to the observation railing, hold tight, and observe the emotions flooding by without participating in them. It can be difficult to do this, especially in the beginning, but it can get easier in time through practice.

You can cultivate the presence of Spirit in your life by focusing your awareness on the Light of the Holy Spirit and by using the Light in your daily life. Take time to pray every day for the Light to surround, fill, and protect you. It's a good idea to ask "for the highest good." This way, you are aligning yourself with God's will rather than your own limited perspective.

What we are in control of is what's inside us. We can't change someone else's mind, but we can change our own in an instant. We can't make someone love us, but we can always choose to be loving. Instead of attempting to control things outside ourselves, we can turn our attention to the bigger game, the Game of Love.
