We say we want to know ourselves, but when it comes to the actual process of putting our attention into self-knowledge and confronting our habits, we often run out of steam. Yet if it weren't possible to transform, I wouldn't be teaching how to do it. Inner growth and change are definitely possible; many have done it, and it doesn't require a big bank account, a long training course, or special equipment. It requires something much more valuable: consistent application. I'm not suggesting that transformation is easy. Even the butterfly breaking from the cocoon struggles into its beauty. I don't look at struggle as a negative, however, but as a stretching and opening process. The greatest ballet dancers in the world return to the barre every day, throughout their careers. They join all the other dancers in the troupe in the basic exercises. It's the same with the great basketball players, constantly practicing shooting hoops. Over and over, the same moves. In the very ordinariness of that repetition lie the seeds of greatness.

At first, we may give because it is the "right" thing to do. Later, we give because giving feels good. Eventually, we give because, well, that's just what we do. At that time, the giver and the gift become one.

The consciousness of God that is the Beloved, the Holy Presence within that reveals our wisdom, is bringing forth our healing and cleansing. We are open to receive and learn right in this moment, and we now choose so these blessings are done.

When you decided that what you wanted more than anything else was to know God and your own divine nature, to know yourself as Soul, perfect and complete, you created your connection to the Mystical Traveler. And the Traveler's job with you isn't so much to teach as to share with you, give to you, and assist you to awaken to Spirit. The Traveler draws forth what is already present, the awareness of truth inside you. The Traveler presents the truth to you and supplies you with the energy that will recognize the truth. The Traveler bears witness to the Light energy inside you, not as a reflective process, but as a direct reality. And when you see the Traveler, read the Soul Awareness Discourses, listen to the Soul Awareness seminars, or chant your initiation tone, you are involved in a direct connection and a direct process with the Traveler.

Do you understand the idea of staying present? In the immediate present, right now, there is nothing in existence that you cannot handle. However, you can create hallucinatory figments "out there" that you cannot handle. Nobody can handle them from here because they are not real. But if they drop into realness in the physical world and come into you, you can handle them at that time. It doesn't matter how you get through things. It matters only that you get through them.

The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness' primary approach is that each person needs to validate by their own experience the reality of the teachings. So, we do not deal in a strong belief-structure; rather, we encourage you to believe in your own experiences and what those experiences bring to you in terms of your inner awareness and inner enlightenment. And, of course, these are all very individual because not everyone approaches the teachings from the same background or context of life. The teachings are wide enough and voluminous enough so that most people can readily see within them how they can fulfill their life destiny more completely in terms of the spirit that they are.

When you explain something to someone, don't feel that they have to understand it, that they have to get it. That's cramming it down their throats, and no one is going to swallow that. You present a point of view to them and let them look at it. If they don't move on it, perhaps it wasn't for them. Perhaps they've already moved on it in another dimension. Perhaps they are yet to experience that moving. Noninterference is so very important. It is so important to allow each consciousness, each Soul, the freedom to evolve into its own awareness in its own timing.

There are many truths. There is the truth of gravity. You don't have to believe in it. All you have to do is let go of something, and it will fall to the ground; that's the truth of gravity in action. Is there such a truth in human beings? Yes. How can you recognize it? That's an art, not a science, but one of the ways I recognize if someone is living their truth is if I see them serve others with joy, because the highest consciousness on this planet is to express oneself in loving, joyous service. You don't have to worry about being joyous. Do the service first, the loving second, and the joy comes. Do the service just to serve someone, not to get rewards, awards, or special attention. Just do it to assist someone. In serving, you also create a clear channel for the loving energy of Spirit to work with and through you, thus creating more and greater opportunities for your own success.

Know in your heart of hearts that you were born in the Light. In the Light and love of God forever more, you are called forth.
