Sometimes you get so sick and tired of being tired and sick that you commit to changing. Then you can learn about what does and doesn't work for you.

You may say, "I see the value of integrity. Now, how can I acquire it as my tool, as an expression as automatic as my next breath?" Obviously, you can't order a pound of integrity, no matter how much money you have. Is there a way to get it, use it, and have it as yours? Sure there is. We get integrity through practice. Practice honesty. Imagine going through one entire day without lying. We may think we do that already, but when a clerk makes an error and gives us too much change, do we always return it? When we make a personal phone call from the office, do we tell the company to charge us for it? When someone tells us some negative gossip about another, do we repeat it to someone else? We may think, "But those are such little things." Yes, they are, but if we are interested in having success, it's important to remember that integrity breeds success, so we need to start with the little things and expand from that.

Loving fills the lack and opens the awareness of the inner wisdom and the knowledge that you are the creator of your universe and that nothing happens to you that you do not create, promote, or allow. Loving is that active, dynamic part of you that accepts responsibility for all that you are and will be and lives in a state of open awareness.

That is the power of the Soul -- that it takes every bit of negativity and converts it into God's love. That love is a constant blessing.

As we direct our lives into the highest expression we know, in clarity and in purity, then we are more consciously aware of the Light. We more directly experience the Soul and the God that is the source of all Light. That experience of Soul then floods down through all the levels of unconscious, mind, emotions, imagination, and body, and we discover that all those levels may be used to enhance our experience of Soul. Nothing is separate; all is one. Each level serves its purpose and may exist in harmony and balance with all others, creating a joyful, balanced, integrated and loving human being.

It's quite obvious that the Spirit doesn't care if it's fair or not fair. In fact, I have found that Spirit seems to be ruthless. Not that it cuts or hits at you, but it's ruthless in the intent that if you're not very much focused towards it, it does not indicate to you that it's there.

Let's look at one of the basic tenets of MSIA -- "Out of God come all things." Spiritually, the same flow of energy that is going through you is going through me and through others. This is why Jesus said that "when you have done it to the least one of these, you have done it to me" (Matthew 25:40). Because all things come out of God, if we become prejudiced against one, we have become prejudiced against the awakening of our own consciousness of love.

If you try to grab hold of Spirit, you defeat yourself; and you lose yourself. Give it away and you will find it returned to you in more ways than you can imagine. You can't fake it. You can't say you are giving and loving and make anyone believe it, unless you demonstrate that giving. It is by your works that you are known, not by your intentions.

Above all, practice being loyal to your Soul. You do that by loving yourself through all your experiences and realizing that there is no value in putting yourself down. There are far better choices to make, and the best one is to love it all.

Your Soul is never diminished. It is never broken. It is never handicapped or sick. It does not die. The Soul thrives entirely, and it thrives on everything in life.
