The power of God is eternally present within you. You are divine, not because the Traveler or anyone else says so but because that is the way God created you. Don't take my word for it. Discover it for yourself. Enlighten yourself. No one else can do it for you.

An inner balance can be maintained by committing to a state of inner communication, otherwise known as awareness. The mind is attracted to the physical world and will communicate through the emotions and the body, attempting to gain fulfillment through material things. The Soul, however, has a tendency to back away from worldly attachments. It also knows it is accountable for everything it does here. Your Soul, your true self, is responsible for what you create.

One of life's experiences that often calls forward the heightened awareness of the Soul is when a loved one is close to death. When a person nears the moment when he or she will be leaving this physical earth, the Soul becomes more active, more present as it prepares for the next step in its journey. And everyone who is close is touched by a magical sense of being in a timeless space. So many of the normal earthly concerns fade away, and it can be as if the essence of each person is entirely present for the other. Awarenesses are heightened. People find the courage to say what may not have been said for a lifetime. Hurt feelings fade away in the face of things far more important. The essence of loving may come present, sweeping everything else away.

The Soul, which is motionless in its purity, cannot be reached by the mind, which is usually moving. The mind is going too fast to enter the frequency of Spirit.

Have you ever noticed that happy people are very spontaneous? They are open to participate. They are willing to be foolish if that brings happiness. They are willing to dance even if they don't know the steps or even if they don't have feet. They are willing to sing when they don't know how to hold the tune or remember the words. They become involved in joy regardless of what people, including themselves, think about it. They are free to laugh and laugh freely. Maybe happy people are considered nuts, but they are happy nuts. What better choice do you really have than to be happy? Be happy.

Before setting out to physically be of service, we suggest that you ask the Light to fill, surround, protect, bless, and heal you for your highest good, the highest good of all you come into contact with, and the highest good of all concerned. This "armor of Light" acts both as a shield and as a vehicle through which some of our more profound gifts can be given.

When you are in divine communion, you may find yourself moving very naturally into the stream of Light we call the Sound Current of God.

Let everyone enlighten themselves. The freedom and responsibility that are yours also belong to your spouse, your boss, your employees, your family -- everyone. If you truly love someone, let them breathe their own air, digest their own food, and walk by themselves. You can steady them, point the way, love and bless them, but you cannot walk their path for them. Let them gain their own experiences.
