One of the fundamental errors that we have as human beings is greed, which is manifested mostly in terms of money or monetary value. Greed, by its very nature, is a striking against the riches within oneself because it appears that there is never enough here in the world. Our eyes are always "hungry." We can help to break the greed pattern by tithing, giving 10 percent of our personal wealth. When we tithe, two levels are activated -- a level here in this world and, at the same time, a mystical, invisible level. The mystical is a communication saying, "You are abundant and handle abundance well, so here's some more." The other level, in this world, is when we look at our abundance and contribute joyfully through tithing. We are actually cheerful about it. This action sets up a countenance that is a form of glory in the human being, and that glory attracts more abundance.

Each person has the responsibility to make their life work as best they can. The Traveler can remind you of the truths you already know inside, and how you apply them to your life is up to you. What you do with the information here is up to you.

If you face a choice and you don't know which way to go, choose the most loving action you can perceive. Choose an action that doesn't hurt yourself or another. Choose an action that allows you to take care of yourself and help those around you in the most loving way possible. Loving and caring will lead you unerringly to the path of Soul Transcendence.

Some consider doing for others a duty, the obligation we have to all life on this intricately interdependent world. If you serve from a sense of duty, it's okay to enjoy yourself too. In fact, it's highly recommended.

When you find yourself being serious or worrying, allow your higher nature to lift you so you are more aware of your joy and the joy in others and situations. Choose to have fun, even if others criticize you by saying you are making fun of a situation. You can say, "Yes, I am making fun of it! I would rather have fun than be serious and somber." In that way, you share the blessings of your happiness.

Divine communion is being loving. It's that quality by which you experience yourself dancing in your own heart. It's where the sacred sounds sing in your heart. Not saying the sacred tones in your mind, but hearing them resounding in your heart and through every part of your being as you ride on the bliss of your own true nature; that is participating in your own divine communion.

A big part of letting go of being a victim is coming to a place where you can take complete responsibility for yourself and your relationships with others. That includes being responsible for your feelings, thoughts, and actions.

You who are working with this spiritual path are moving right along. Look at the reference points four years ago, three years ago, last year, last month. Look at the reference points and then at where you are today, and you'll see your progress and growth. These things come gradually and subtly. It's not thunder and lightning and fireworks per se. It's the glory of God flowing in and through you, but in such a quiet way that you may not know it until much later. Your spiritual progress started back at some point when you said, "Father, help me. Help me get through these things." And He answered.

We are all expressions of Spirit. The Soul is Spirit individualized, manifesting through the physical body on this plane. There is nothing so sacred, so enduring, and so lasting as the God in each person's heart. So fill your heart with the beingness of love, and let it flow like you have never let it flow before.

The person who sows seeds of kindness enjoys a perpetual harvest. One of the most difficult things to give away is kindness; it usually comes back to you. The Hindus and most Eastern religions call it karma: what you do comes back to you. The Christian version was stated by Paul: "For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" [Galatians 6:7]. In the "hood," the same idea is simply stated, "What goes around, comes around." This idea is such a universal and timeless one, that I would venture to put it into the category of "Truth." If "what you sow you reap" is an answer, then the question is: "What kind of harvest would you like?"
