Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
People say, "My, you're so giving, and full of loving." You might reply, "I am? I didn't know that. I'm just being me. It's no big thing." Somebody who isn't in touch with that divine ordinariness will not be as open. When somebody says that they really serve a lot, they'll reply, "Yeah, I'm real good at it." That's the ego creeping in, and it starts to lower the quality of the action. It's one thing to neutrally and factually acknowledge that you do something, and another to claim it to boost your ego, saying in effect, "Look how great I am, look at what I do for you, and you're so lucky I am doing it."
Spirit will never give you anything you can't handle. So you can be assured that you will always be able to handle what is. You do that by staying present in the moment and just moving through each experience as it appears. Those of you who work with the Mystical Traveler Consciousness know that I go through these things with you. You are never alone. You are perfectly protected at all times. And as you become more aware and trusting of that process, life can become very joyful.
There is no separation between anyone and God. You can reconnect to the consciousness that sees no separation, sees no evil, and sees the good. I refer to that as the Christ, the one who was anointed of that consciousness of God. It is the sight, the knowing, the perception, the vision that sees through the Christ and sees beyond what is considered evil. This is both a decision and a choosing to look for the good in all situations and in all people and things.
To accomplish living in the now, you hold the emotions in an "up" consciousness, keep the mind focused on completion in the present moment, and keep the body healthy and able to hold the energy of Spirit. When you can do this, the consciousness expands to greater capabilities. Then comes the responsibility of holding your energies more in that greater field, and, of course, your reward is the ability to do more. Then your consciousness can expand to an even greater capability.
Take good care of yourself; that's another way to love yourself. Eat good foods. Exercise. Do those things which keep you healthy. Put your physical choices and activities in a higher perspective so you see them as opportunities to love yourself more fully.
There is a difference in people who are following the oneness on the upward path, because there's a bright Light that comes out of them. There is a truth that speaks through their voice. You hear something in their words -- not the vocabulary they use, but in the energy of their words. It touches that place inside of you that is open to inspiration.
A very effective means to focus the mind and open to your loving is chanting. Since the beginning of time, religious and spiritual groups have made a practice of intoning sacred words, sounds, prayers, and songs. Chanting builds up a powerful field of spiritual energy that can change your consciousness. The key is your intention -- bringing an attitude of reverence and love to whatever you are chanting. Mantras are specific sounds or syllables that invoke a spiritual essence. It is said that as you chant, you bring that essence, or vibration, into your own being. I recommend the HU chant. HU (pronounced like the man's name, HUGH) is a name of God found in Pali and Sanskrit, ancient sacred languages of southern Asia. Chanting HU silently or aloud, alone or in a group, helps create attunement and bring you into spiritual alignment.
God's will for each of us is for us to know God, and everything is set up to support that. So you can see all your experiences as opportunities to take one more step towards God. And the way to know God is to love as Jesus loved -- unconditionally, through all things.
Challenge yourself to seek, find, and choose the loving. Then you will create more opportunities to better know yourself through the blessings of loving.
My explorations taught me that the Soul is noninflictive. Though it is the most powerful part of our being, it can appear to be the weakest. It is the strongest in that it endures beyond all the other expressions. However, it appears to be the weakest because, here on the physical level, it will give up to other expressions. If you want to express anger, hatred, or jealousy, the Soul allows that. It will not force you to be loving. It will not force upon you deeper knowledge of a situation. It will not force upon you a higher perspective. It allows you your expression.
