Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
Every day, you must open to the Spirit. Every day, you must make the choice again. You must continually be in that state of correcting and moving with the flow of energy that is present inside of you.
One of my favorite rallying calls is, "Let's go out and do some good!" Something about those words frees me up. Being of service, doing "good works," calls upon us to get beyond our own boundaries and limitations. Let us resolve that regardless of what we choose to do today, whatever that may be -- go on a picnic or go to our friend at their time of need -- let's do some good.
One way to cooperate with people who are expressing negative attitudes is to let them win, to let them have their way. It's easy. When they have won, you can continue going in your own positive direction without becoming involved in their point of view at all.
The opportunity to be of service may come on any level, including in areas you don't expect. Be open to the opportunities to serve, wherever and however they may appear.
Whenever someone wants to bend your ear with gossip and talk of upset and dread, don't listen to them. It doesn't matter that they feel what they're saying is right or that they must save you from yourself. No one can save you from yourself. You are yourself. You are the Beloved that walks eternally.
Your true lover is your Soul. It is through recognition and realization of the Soul's nature that you will find lasting fulfillment. Anything short of that will be temporary.
So if you would live in the Soul and Spirit, you must be loyal to the Soul and the nature of the Soul, which is truthful, honest, and unconditionally loving. How do you do that? By dedicating yourself to the spiritual force within you, which is called the Christ, and making it the number one priority in your life.
Service is the highest form of consciousness on our planet. Service is highly regarded in spiritual life because it diminishes the selfishness of our "little self," allowing us to identify with others as members of one human family. We make the earth a more heavenly place through serving others.
You can bring the blessings of who you are to any situation simply through your loving and compassion. Smiling at people is a great service. Bring forth that place from within you that smiles upon the world and smiles with compassion upon someone in need.
How do we become more and more aware of the Beloved? We become more aware by growing spiritually. How do we grow spiritually? We grow physically by taking food, water, and air into our bodies. We grow emotionally when we receive love and support and encouragement, particularly when times are tough. For example, when someone says lovingly to us, "Come on, stand up. I know you can do it." And we do indeed stand up and, by doing so, grow and mature. We grow mentally by becoming educated and incorporating that education into our personality, and by taking in information and learning and memorizing it. So it is by taking that we grow physically, emotionally, and mentally. However, it is through giving that we grow spiritually. We give mentally by sharing what we've learned with others. We give emotionally by loving and supporting people. We give physically by being of service and helping others. Above all, we give our loving. There is something transcendental in the process of giving love. Through this giving, we grow spiritually and become aware that there is one Beloved in ourselves and in others.
