You can't promise ten thousand years, and you can't promise tomorrow. But you can live right now, and that's all there is. The spiritual promise does not deal with this plane, and so therefore it is a promise, and that promise will be kept.

Marriage, in order to be successful, requires 100 percent commitment to loving -- commitment, not necessarily accomplishment. In other words, if your partner sometimes exhibits less-than-loving behavior, don't beat them over the head with, "But you agreed to 100 percent commitment!"

Don't be afraid to look at yourself. If something's wrong, find out now. Even if you've spent thirty years expressing a particular way, if it's wrong, it's wrong. Drop it. If you're smart, you'll let it go so fast everybody will wonder what happened.

The parts of you that you resist most often are based on fear. If we wanted to boil down the negative power, we could just call it fear or the denial of the truth. And why do we deny the truth? Usually because we're afraid. For example, why do we lie? Often it's because we were afraid that if we revealed the truth, something terrible would happen. The one who runs that show is the one who is the liar, the one who denies the truth. The one who is the truth realizes that the truth is everywhere and it's uninhibited, unstoppable, so it sets you free.

Some people are afraid to die because they don't know what the next step will be. It's loving. When you die, you go straight to loving. So live now into that part that will live -- the love, the humbleness, and the truth that is eternally present. Then life blooms forth and is enhanced by the Lord's name, by calling on the sweetness of God's salvation.

Q: Does desiring anything produce karma and, if so, how can I learn to live in such a way as to dissolve karma? A: Live your life as lovingly as you can and apply the teachings in your life, and the Traveler will handle the rest.

Ask for the Light and the Traveler to help you release and clear anything that is not for your highest good. You can also do spiritual exercises, which is one of the best ways to clear any negativity, either within you or from anyone or anything else. And if there is any self-judgment, do self-forgiveness.

The Light may seem a little intangible to you for a time. Even if you are unable to see it, however, you may be able to see what it can do in your life, how it can change and lift. Even when you are not aware of it, it's lifting you. In fact, it's the energy that sustains you.
