Do you want your child to grow up to be a nurturing, caring, supportive human being? Children learn by imitation. If you participate often in bonding acts with your child, the odds are that by the time your child is a young adult, you will have contributed to this world by bringing forward a positive human being radiating great warmth and loving.

It is a good idea to build up the Light energy in your house, apartment, or wherever you live. You would do this by invoking the Light often -- when you leave and come back would be a good start. Simply ask that the Light be there for the highest good of all concerned. You might invite the Mystical Traveler and Christ to be there, too. You can also ask MSIA ministers to come to your house and do a house blessing to place a lot of Light there.

It's amazing how we can sometimes be of greater service and do more for someone else than we will ever do for ourselves. People have often told me, "John-Roger, when I do something for you, I really do that so well, so perfectly. I really put time and effort into it so that you feel good about it." I say, "Yes, and with your own stuff, you're sloppy. Do you think I feel good about that? I don't feel good about any of it because you're just robbing yourself to give to me, and you think that I don't know the difference. How can you think you're being of service? If you rob yourself in your daily expression to give to me, you've robbed me in that same expression. So you're robbing me six days a week to pay me one day."

It all comes back to these questions: "Who are you inside yourself, and who are you relating to inside the other person?" If you are relating to the same energy force that is within you, the one called God, you'll find it so easy to share and extend love -- not the personal love or the jealous love that says, "Do it my way or else," but the spiritual love that says, "I love you, no matter what."

We're often too busy trying to either change people or please them. It's fine to get along with people, but, in doing that, don't sacrifice your divine heritage that you are here to fulfill. Marriage is a noble institution. If you're going to marry, marry somebody who can see and understand these things. Then, if you're late coming home, your spouse won't think you're out with somebody else. Marry somebody who can sit and talk with you in a way that you can understand.

You can trust the overall perfection of whatever is happening and say, "I claim the perfection and the re-ordering that is in process. I exercise my choices for upliftment, learning and growth. I choose to re-unite myself into the consciousness of perfection." I can look at spilled milk and appreciate it as a mosaic, a piece of art. I can see the beauty.

Manifesting material things is not that difficult, and I suggest that you don't consider that the end-all and be-all because of all the things that come with material manifestation. You may manifest that "dream house," and guess what else you have to manifest? The insurance, the air conditioning/heating system, the furnishings, and so on. What I'm focusing on in the teachings of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness is not limited to physical manifestation. In fact, I am suggesting that physical manifestation has limited worth unless you awaken to and cooperate with a higher consciousness within you.

When you do your spiritual exercises and consciously attune yourself to the Soul within, you can move through the lower worlds in perfect protection. You can walk through your earthly life and learn all the lessons to be learned here but not be caught up in the glamour of this level. The best protection you have is your own Soul.
