Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
One of the things you do not have to do is seek love. You are love already.
Years ago, youngsters used to ask me "How do you spell a word?" I'd say, "There's the Dictionary." They'd say, "Well, just tell me," and I'd say, "No, there's the Dictionary." They'd have to get up and go and find the word, and then use the word. If the answer is given too easily, they often don't remember, and later on they ask, "How do you spell that word again?" If you feed people fish, you end up feeding them for the rest of your life, but if you teach them to fish, they'll feed themselves. If you teach people where to get the answer, they can get the answer themselves.
When you look at someone's action, look for the wisdom of the action. In other words, where will this action ultimately take them? Will it take them into the Divine consciousness, into God? If so, leave them alone. Let them be. If you say, "I don't know where it will take them," then don't pretend that you know. Just say, "I don't know." My God, it's not a sin or a crime not to know.
Love is what breathes us. It is what we are.
Each conscious person has a responsibility to other human beings. Even if you don't know them, you have a responsibility to them. That doesn't mean that you have to do whatever someone else is doing. If someone is digging a sewer, you don't have to jump in the ditch and dig with them, although that, too, is an option you can choose. Your responsibility is to support people, offer encouragement, and hold a positive, nonjudgmental attitude toward others. And whatever you do, or don't do, make sure it is your heartfelt response.
You have probably heard, "Ask and you shall receive." When you ask, in your heart, for your will to be aligned with Spirit, that can come to pass. Be patient and loving with yourself and with others, and you are well on your way to living according to God's will.
Doing spiritual exercises - attuning yourself inwardly to the energy of Spirit and presenting your questions or concerns into the quietness and peace of Spirit - may bring forward the guidance you are looking for.
Charity can never be anything other than giving because there is only God, and God gives only to Itself. When you enter into the consciousness of the Mystical Traveler, you begin to see that essence in everything and everyone you meet. Though it manifests differently for everyone, you perceive the oneness that sustains the many differences. That oneness is charity, is loving, is the essence of God. It is your own true beingness. And the day you awaken to that realization of Self will be one of the most joyful days you may ever experience.
During the time I was anesthetized and unconscious from a physical point of view, I was very conscious of a great spiritual Light encompassing both my physical body and my greater consciousness. I was aware of other levels of existence and reality. Beings of Light - angels if you will - were all around me. It was a tremendously humbling experience to become aware of these great and beautiful beings of Light and Spirit and of the scope of this greater reality. Why me? Why was I being allowed to see and experience this? From my finite and imperfect human consciousness, this made no sense. Could it be that there was a greater consciousness available, within which this did make sense? I was willing to believe in that possibility. I opened up to innocence. And it was as if the angels and beings of Light burst forth and all things became new to me. I heard joyous hallelujahs from all around and felt tremendous patterns of energy sweep through me, tremendous heat, tremendous joy. I felt a great spiritual consciousness touch to me and felt myself being lifted into a consciousness greater than any consciousness I expressed on the physical level. I was willing to let the ego be sacrificed to discover my true self, my greater self, my Soul.
Whatever you do, God will still love you and care for you. When we understand that, we don't need to know anything else. Our life is taken care of. I find it does something in return where we want to give back. We want to love God so much that we would do it with all our body, all our mind, and all our spirit. We would not hold anything back. We would give with the completeness that we experience in God's love towards us. That's a really great life - to take in God's love as completely as you can with all your body, mind and spirit and then give it back.
