Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
Love is the essence of all creation, the "glue" that holds everything in its place in relation to all other parts and that allows it all to function. Everything is a manifestation of love, and loving is about the closest term I've come up with for the energy of Spirit.
Living according to God's will is the easiest way to live, but doing that may not be easy, since the ego is so used to having things the way it wants. If you are out of balance emotionally, mentally, financially, or sexually, you are probably coming from the ego and being "will-full" and not doing God's will. We are given the tools of the emotions and the mind to help guide us through our journey on this planet. When you experience an imbalance in any of these areas, that is an indicator that something is not quite right.
Blaze a path inside you which leads to love and joy.
Q: I know I have a lot of love inside me, and I want to do something that will make a difference in the world. Do you have any suggestions? J-R: Loving, caring and sharing - these words are spelled with an "ing" on the end. Not love, but loving. Get out there and scratch your spouse's back when it itches. Get out there and work with the people around you when they need help. Put your body out there doing what's there to be done, and keep your attitude clean, where you don't judge the action of what's going on around you - that's caring. Sharing is a by-product of all that. I've come to the conclusion that the highest form of consciousness that we can manifest physically is service to humanity. That serving doesn't have to have anything worthwhile to serve. It just serves willingly, openly, lovingly, caringly. Then a contentment can just appear, where you're content with you, with the Lord in you and everything is just OK with you.
When you don't have sufficient energy and you're too tired, look at what you've started and what you haven't completed. Every one of those projects demands a level of energy.
Instead of saying, "I'm working on it," do it. Take the opportunity to turn loose whatever is off and turn to what is right on with being true to your self.
The face of God is in everything you experience. The face of God is never hidden from you. You only hide it from yourself when you do not look at what is so, when you do not look at reality, when you pretend that you can make some ideal of yours supersede what reality is.
You might write in your journal things you notice after doing spiritual exercises. Maybe your dreams become more vivid, or you are calmer than usual, or you notice some other change in your life. Doing spiritual exercises is an exercise in awareness, and keeping a journal can help you capture what is happening. Find what works for you and use it.
We often hold in reserve those things we value most. We may do this with the quality we incorrectly identify as love. We say, "You love me, and then I'll love you." The other person says, "You love me, and then I'll love you." It's a standoff. Then you say, "Well, I'll love you a little bit and see how my love is returned." When you do this, whether the love is returned or not, you find yourself feeling short on receiving. You think you're long on the giving, but you're just as short on the giving as you are on the receiving. Then you feel there just isn't any justice. In reality, you can only receive what you are capable of giving.
If we can get enough distance on a situation, we can usually come to "okay." A little bit of altitude, and we can come to love.
