If you focus on the negative long enough, you may fall into despair. If you do find yourself in the pits of despair, you don't have to remain there just because you may have been taught that is your fate. Now that you're an adult, how about taking a light with you? The Light of awareness, the Light of God, the Light that illuminates the traps so you don't have to fall into them. Is it that simple? It could be. It's a matter of what you focus on, like seeing a glass of water half-full or half-empty. Where is your focus?

Here is the guarantee. There is always good to be found no matter what. So if we perceive there is no good, like "This is no good," that is a lie. That is not true. It is we who have put ourselves in a position where we are blind to the good, where we do not hear of it, where we no longer have the eyes to see or the ears to hear. Is that true? No. We do have the eyes to see. We do have the ears to hear. It is simply a matter of what ears and eyes are we listening to. What ears and eyes are we looking through? Always see and listen through love and truth.

My experiences of Spirit opened my eyes to many possibilities of what could take place here. It opened my eyes to the possibilities that are available to everyone who chooses the higher path, who chooses the Soul. All that has ever been available through Spirit to mankind is available right now to everyone. We are never separate from our divine nature. We can pretend otherwise, but we can claim our spiritual heritage at any moment and turn our feet toward home.

Although spiritual exercises are designed for inner experiences, the results often spill over into this world. You may find that you are calmer, that things that used to disturb you don't bother you as much. You may experience a sense of well-being, of contentment and happiness. And sometimes, you see more clearly what you need to do in your life to handle things better.

Each person has a Light within them. Your job is simply to become aware of it. When you do, you can activate it into a greater and greater consciousness, until you reach into the Soul that is the consciousness of God and Light and Love. The Soul is well protected. It is guarded by the best guardians you will ever find. Some of those guardians are, "Woe is me," "Nobody loves me," "I am all messed up," "I am ruined," "I am going to hell," "I hate your guts," "I am green-eyed with jealousy," "I want you" and "I want to control you." A key to bypassing all this is just to say, "Okay," and go on with your life. None of these states lasts very long. The consciousness that is the Soul outlasts them all.

You must find the truth within yourself. You move into and through all the levels of consciousness. No matter what, you don't stop; you continue the progression. If you keep moving, you cannot be bound by illusion. As soon as you stop and say, "This is it," the illusions will be there to put you in bondage. Keep going - always.

Remember, with Spirit life is a joy ride full of peace and glory.

You get love by giving, by being of service. If you say, "What do I get back in return?" then you are once again in your own way.

Do yourself a favor. Live honestly, with integrity, with loving kindness and charity for your fellow beings. Your reward will be your ability to do better and the awakening of Spirit inside you to higher levels of expression. If the key is to be loving, you'll give up every consideration, every hesitation, and every reason not to be loving, and you'll be loving in every situation in your life.

Why can't we see God? Because we've been taught that God is someplace else. God is all.
