Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
You can know that you are divine.
Question: I'm afraid of dying. Can you help me with this? Answer: You haven't contacted the Spirit inside of you. As soon as you do, that fear of dying will be a process of breathing. Look at it this way. Life is like a game; we're tossed out into it with a very short period of time to learn anything, and a whole lot of lack of ability and equipment. And death is the winner - we are all going to die. From the moment you take your first breath, death is on your tail. I call this the hounds of hell. But there are hounds of heaven, too, called the Travelers, and they're also stalking you. Those who are stalking the Spirit are attempting to bypass the rules of death's game and slip past the bonds of death into the Light, and live in that particular perspective. Therefore, loving, sharing, and caring are not what death deals with. Death does not deal with health, wealth, and happiness, nor does it deal with prosperity, abundance, and riches. It deals with obliterating your consciousness from this level. So while you're doing these other things, death does not recognize you. If you can leave your body and transcend to the Spirit, death mistakes you as being part of its spiritual beingness and leaves you alone. So when you die, you don't die the second death, you just die the death of the body. If you slip, you'll hear the hounds of hell bark, and the "what-if's" of your mind start running, "Oh my God, maybe I'll die. Maybe I'll fall." Then death goes, "There you are. I see you," and starts to hone in on you. You have to clear that, and you can do it through prayer, meditation, contemplation, spiritual exercises, being of service, loving people, et cetera. I'd stalk the Spirit of life. And the one we call the Christ. How does the Christ appear? Any way It wants to. It could come as the cleansing of the temple or the one who is wiping away your tears. How will you know how It's going to come to you? By the way you are when It comes. Remember that the Traveler and the Christ are at their best when you are at your worst. When you're at your best, you're also being in the Christ.
Can prayer assist you in getting your abundance and in changing any limiting behaviors? If you pray for God to give it to you as you lie around in your bad habits, I doubt it. If, however, you pray to awaken to the power within you, if you pray for the Divine to show you the way, and if you have the wit and courage to get up and do it, yes, prayer can help. Once again, "Pray to God, but continue to row to shore." But row with patience. Keep rowing regardless of the weather, the waves, the temptations that may distract you. You don't have to worry about being behind schedule or making mistakes. Schedules are made by men and women, not by God. God isn't wearing the big watch in the sky.
When you know who God is, you can wait with a smile on your face.
You sit down and say, "I'm going to do spiritual exercises," and you close your eyes. And this thing starts to adore and love you and makes you move more and more into it and into a serenity that many people won't understand. It is not a mental thing. It's not the word happy. It is an energy field that is, by itself, absolutely whole and complete. It is called God. Being in that is the divine nature of what we call the Beloved. You first feel you're the Beloved, then you know you're the Beloved, then you just are the Beloved.
God has given each of us the precious gift of life and awareness and then the additional gift of freedom to do with it what we will. God has chosen each one of us as heirs to His kingdom; it's up to us when we choose to return home to Him and claim all that our heritage offers to us. If I had a prayer, it would be that each and every one would choose back and come home to God. It has been my choice. I recommend it.
Much of the time, we go through life letting our reactions and our ego run the show. How would our lives be different if we followed love's lead? Try this exercise and find out: If you're tense, or in a rush, or bothered by something, stop and ask yourself: "What would happen if I let love lead in this moment?" Then, listen inwardly for guidance. You may receive it through an inner voice, an image, a thought that pops into your mind, a "gut feeling."
When you are centered in divine love, there is no way you can be stripped of your joy. And when you have joy, you can give joy. That's the outward action of charity. When you can give joy, you can, again, receive joy. It's a marvelous cycle.
We're here to love one another and have a good time.
People meditate for many reasons, including to calm the emotions, quiet the mind, release stress, and experience a greater sense of well- being. Most techniques that are used are passive, where you attempt to keep your body and mind still. That is nearly impossible to do. We are giving you another aspect of meditation, which changes it from a passive technique of emptying your mind, to an active process of directing your consciousness. That's why we call these spiritual exercises. You will be giving your mind something to do, and the focus is spiritual.
