You can offer input and yet you don't have control. However, God does have control. That realization is an invitation to let go, relax, be patient, and observe as you witness God once again demonstrating perfection as all things come to greater good.

The spiritual heart always knows the truth. Whenever you wonder how the spiritual heart can lead you, start by asking yourself, "Is this the right action for me?"

John-Roger, DSS
When you find yourself in conflict with another human being, it is often best to just hold steady in your consciousness, not reacting, until the spiritual quality comes into the situation and presents a mirror for the negativity to see itself. When people get tired of throwing up their negativity, they either leave the situation - which is fine - or they drop the negativity - which is fine. Either way, they know that the Light force is love and strength.

When you get to the place that spiritual exercises (s.e.'s ) become something that pulls you rather than something that you're compulsive to do or you have to do or you fearfully do, when you get to the place where the s.e.'s pull you, that's when this thing becomes a magnificent obsession. It's to take time for you and the Lord. To really take time, joyfully, and the hours go by and you sit and look upon the radiance. Everything you look at after that has more of a radiant quality to it. But because our ego is so tremendously powerful, we'd soon tend to corrupt it. That's why we go back inside, climb up the stair of awareness, look on the radiant Lord, come back down again. It isn't too long until a lot of the things that would be corrupted, or that we would corrupt, are now part of the radiant aspect, that when we see it reminds us that the Lord is present.

Love provides the cohesiveness for every aspect of the universe. Without loving, things would disintegrate; there would be no form through which anything could be expressed. Sometimes the loving is expressed in ways that are pleasing to you, and sometimes in ways that are not so pleasing or that are misunderstood, but the love is always there.

John-Roger, DSS
This Spirit that is God, which we call the Holy Spirit because it's the whole Spirit, touches to us and we feel it; we know it and we're convicted in it. And when we're not following the path of rightfulness, it convicts us of our sins. It points out the error. But do you know what it does not do? It does not punish you because it loves you. And it says, "Here's another opportunity."

When you receive the kiss of God, you get kissed all over.

If you promote negativity, guess what you'll have. Of course, negativity. I know many people who live a life of health, wealth, and happiness. None of them, not one, lives a life of consistently promoting negativity. Sure, you may slip here and there, and there is even an opportunity in slipping and falling down: you can get back up again. Getting back up means choosing what will support your positive prosperity, instead of giving in to the negative temptation of limitation.

If you hear people saying, "Run here, run there. Go here. Go do this," for God's sake and your own, pack up your bag and leave in the night, for they would deny you the experience of your unfolding. Often, the experience is a struggle. But the struggle is not anguish or pain. It is God revealing itself to God. It is the awakening, the moving away of those things that have become sacrosanct in our minds, in our values, and in our emotions. We're not going to give these things up because we ask, "What will I have left?" When you give it all up, what will be left? The Light behind the shadows will be all that is left. That's you. You're the Light behind all the shadows - the shadows you create for yourself, and those that you create for others.

Personality-based choices arise from our desires - from the wants of the ego, the false self. When we make a responsible choice, we bypass the personality and the senses and tap into Soul energy. When we tap into Soul energy, anger and greed disappear. Anger is the false self saying, "You're not doing what I want you to do." When someone doesn't do what we want, we often judge them and make them wrong. Judgments, as we've seen, come out of the false self. When we judge, our body lets us know that's what we're doing. We feel energy draining from the power center in the abdomen. In an effort to get our energy back, we experience fear. Fear is a call to action that triggers the release of adrenalin. When adrenalin kicks in, we feel a surge of power, but it is not authentic power. Authentic power comes from the Soul.
