Claiming the joy is a movement. It's rising up one more time to meet the joy. It's taking the responsibility to create the joy in what you're doing. John-Roger has said, "If you want to be happy, do happy things." So it follows that if you want to be joyful, do joyful things.

The spiritual person "pays" for what he receives. Today, for the most part, money is the spiritualized medium of exchange with which we work. It is spiritual. It is a convenient way in a complex society to exchange goods for services, so the spiritual person can live and work within modern society.

All you have to do is keep freedom in your consciousness and be open to let Light and love flow through you to everything. You don't have to say, "God bless that flower, that ant, those buildings, that tree." The blessings flow automatically, as soon as Spirit uses you as a channel into this world.

The spiritual life is compatible with modern society. To realize the truth of that statement, just adjust your point of view to accommodate the realization that Spirit manifests in many, many ways. You'll find yourself in pretty good territory.

You have a responsibility to be loving.

"How do I get enlightenment?" You start walking and talking as an enlightened being. The principles have been placed with you, and you can see them, and as you start to do it, the karma drops off.

Your devotion to God can transcend all situations and become the constant factor of your life. Then you follow one Light, the Light which is God. It's been called many names and worshipped in many ways, but everyone is reaching to this one consciousness.

We sometimes pray, "God, take away this. God, take away that. God, give me this." But we never really pray the prayer that will truly be answered to glorify God, and that is to say, "God give me the strength to overcome all of these things and to reach into your glory and your kingdom." That's the prayer we need to make.

In some way we're allowed the illusion of separation, the illusion that we can turn away. So if your physical eyes and your physical ears are blind and deaf, you can still know, "I'm seeing and hearing God. I know It in the silence. I translate It in whatever I do see. And if that's darkness, I translate it to the light."

We are all spiritual beings. We are all of God. We are all of Spirit. There is nothing that is not of God. There is no one who is not of Spirit.
