Here are three ways to search through the history of over 5,000 Loving Each Day quotes by John-Roger and John Morton.
When you find yourself getting upset because of what someone else does or says to you and you feel like your toes have been stomped on, pull your emotions back in. Place your loyalty once again with your Soul, with your spiritual exercises, with the upliftment of your consciousness. Focus on the unconditional loving you know you can experience and express.
Appearing human or imperfect in front of your children is wonderful. When your child sees that Mom and Dad go through rough times, too, they'll feel more freedom to be themselves. They'll know they are still worthy of your love even when they make a mistake.
One of the lessons to learn here is to be flexible. That is not necessarily being "wishy-washy." There is strength and wisdom in being flexible. It takes great strength to change your position when that position is no longer defensible and to say, " I defended a position that is now not defensible." If people say you're wrong to change, you can answer, "If that's the way you label it, okay. I just can't defend that position now; that's where I am. And I am now moving my position." If they tease and ridicule, don't give in to their pressures and social blackmail - don't go back to your old position to "show them." Demonstrate your strength by maintaining the change, the new position.
Choose you this day who you will serve, but for me and my house, I serve the Lord.
What is important is that we realize we are divine and conduct ourselves accordingly as co-creators with God. We are to choose to be loving always in all ways. We are to reveal ourselves as one with God.
Allow your unconditional loving to expand into the unconsciousness. It may try to pull you over to make you drop into its sleep. What we do is an inner statement that says, "My unconsciousness is being flooded with the unconditional loving of my Soul. And it is awakening. I am getting more of it every breath."
If you prefer to walk free of the lower worlds and establish yourself in the Spirit, there are only a few qualities that are necessary. The first one is acceptance. You have to accept what is so in your life and be honest with it, not pretending it's something it's not or creating fantasies about how you would like it to be. Just accept what is. The second quality is understanding. You have to seek understanding by understanding yourself. You don't necessarily have to understand everyone else, but it's important to know and understand yourself. The third quality is responsibility. You have to take responsibility for yourself and your actions on all levels. And the fourth quality is cooperation. Once you accept what is, understand it, and take responsibility for yourself and your actions, you can start cooperating with all of that. When you cooperate, you discover you're free.
When I refer to "the Light," I mean the very highest and purest Light that exists. This Light is a spiritual force, an emanation of God that can be used as a practical tool for day-to-day living. The Light is present everywhere and in everyone. It is always available to you. But in order to gain assistance from the Light, you have to ask for it. Since this Light is everywhere at all times, when you "ask" for it, what you are really doing is asking yourself to be present with the Light. You are bringing your awareness to the Light. In that respect, working with the Light is similar to breathing practice. You are always breathing, but consciously bringing your awareness to your breath can be transformational. So it is with the Light.
In your moments of peacefulness, don't think that you won't feel out of sorts ever again. You can say to yourself, "I feel good now." Are you going to feel good tomorrow? Let's see what happens when tomorrow shows up. Keep working on right now so that now keeps feeling good.
If you give up your awareness of now, if you act without having a match in your thoughts, emotions, and your physical actions, you can throw yourself into great disturbance. If you tell off another person when you could have been quiet and held a Light consciousness for them, you bring disturbance to yourself. When you do not maintain your awareness of and your responsibility to the now, the present moment, you separate yourself from your reality. And in that separation, you can create your own hell. Then you know your Soul only by the reflection of those who know the Soul, rather than through your own direct experience of the Soul.
