God is the greatest level of reality you can experience. It is pure Light and Sound. It is the Source. It is not an image, reflection or illusion. It is the only reality. That reality exists within you. It is your Soul.

One way to come into the moment is to move into meditation or prayer and hold your consciousness very, very steady. That enables you to move past the dominion of your fixations into freedom. Your prayer might be just counting to one hundred. If you are doing that as a tool to hold your mind and attention steady, it can work for you. If you tune inward to your Self as you count, you may discover many levels within yourself where you can break through many fixations.

For the most part, the goal of every Soul on the planet is to become a co-creator with God. In one sense, God needs us as much as we need God. We are how God gets things done on this physical-material level. He works through us in this world. The human body and consciousness are receptors for Spirit on this level; they are what the Soul uses to transport itself here.

Don't forget to love yourself and laugh at yourself. In the midst of the most terrible, wrenching, insidious thing inside you, laugh. That's the time you need it the most. You have to get something to counterbalance the tremendous terrible thing, and laughter starts to bring it out so it can balance out. If you don't feel like laughing, that's the time to laugh. If you've been practicing it, you can get it going.

The first focus of an initiate is our attention to God. We bring our attention into the experience we have with God's way. We have that first as an inner experience of revelation. As we have that revealed to us, we take on that responsibility. If you have a singular glimpse of a moment where the Light and energy of God is revealed - even just for an instant - you then have a responsibility for the rest of your life. You have seen and you have known in that instant. You might have a sense like, "Maybe I made that up. Maybe that was not real. Maybe I am no longer worthy. Maybe God faked me out. Maybe that was the devil masquerading. Maybe, maybe, maybe." Regardless of the conditions, we are called upon to hold and to trust in God.
