As you come to trust your own experience level of realms different than the physical, you begin to experience the transcendence of the Soul.

Union with God requires a certain aloneness, and this can be frightening. It takes work to be whole unto yourself, to seek your energy and love in God rather than in relationships.

Emotional loving often involves emotional blackmail: "Do it my way or else I will withdraw my love. Agree with me and I'll shower you with my love." Spiritual loving is unconditional: "I do love you and will love you no matter what." In this form of loving, there is fulfillment because there is no hidden agenda, just 100 percent positive expression. It is complete in itself because it is not dependent on the actions of the other person. You love the person beyond their behavior. In emotional loving, there are often lack and unfulfilled desires that range from lust to depression. Spiritual fulfillment is not to be found in someone else no matter how beautiful their body or mind is. These things are not designed to bring spiritual fulfillment. The Soul and Spirit are the vehicles for that.

We are to abandon the smaller self that we have previously known, for the larger Self that is God's unconditional nature, boundless in love, boundless in its ability to overcome any restriction.

Can't you just spend a little time with me? Can't you just forsake this world for a little time, and come in to where you are? You get in there for a little bit, and things straighten out quite well. Then you're off, gallivanting around, and you forsake the very thing that you are. Yet you must get it so full inside of you that no matter where you go and what you do, that is always there. Those who realize God consciousness are those who enter into it, hold to it, and maintain it as the one thing they must never forget.

The opportunity to serve comes in areas and at times that you may not expect. Even though it may not be totally convenient for you from this physical level, I suggest you don't reject the opportunity. If you are open to serve, Spirit will bring forth the way. If it comes forward and you have an attitude of "Well, not that, and I'm busy this weekend," then Spirit will respect you and leave you to your limited serving. You may also be left with your limitations, on many other levels.

I have met so many people who pray desperately for a man or woman to come along -- usually a wealthy, good-looking man, or a wealthy, beautiful woman. They are so sure that this person is what they need that they never stop to ask themselves what they really need, and where this desire is coming from. I tell people: It is far more to the purpose to pray for enlightenment, to see God and to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to walk in God's Light; since true happiness, true abundance, comes from God and not human beings.

The beautiful thing about divine manifestation and abundance is that the potential is not restricted to any particular group of human beings. Regardless of which groups declare themselves elite or which groups interpret scripture to support their own particular Divinity to the exclusion of others, abundance through Spirit is available to all. As a matter of fact, claiming an elitist, exclusive right to divine energy can actually stop growth because containment and curtailment are in opposition to Spirit. Spirit is a constantly expansive, available energy that is not manipulated by interpretation, but is dynamically present. It is up to each individual to keep the channel open to receive of the blessings of abundance.
