Two thousand years ago, Jesus the Christ said, "The kingdom of Heaven lies within," He spoke the truth and gave us one of the greatest keys to enlightenment. If you would find the kingdom of Heaven, look within. If you would find the peace of God, look within. These things are not separate from you.

Watch out when you demand something of Spirit. Is it your ego or your ambition talking? Why don't you observe and see what part of you is really doing the demanding? By the time you find out, it will no longer matter. When we observe we rise in time above the desire, and we learn from being above it.

When you come to the spiritual heart, you find yourself in the center of all beingness. At that point, you rise at the apex of time, and all things are delivered unto you.

Even husbands and wives have no right to hurt each other. They don't get married for that purpose. They are married to become a fortress, possibly to rear children and to create a retreat from the world where they can renew their strength. The family environment can be used to gain the strength necessary to go back out into the world and learn to work with energy to break the conditioning of the world. If you come home after a "hellish" day at work and get hell from your wife or husband, that is really hell. Then you don't want to come home at all. It is your responsibility to be loving -- not to let yourself be taken advantage of -- but to be loving in all your relationships.

Have fun with observation. Lighten up. If every time you close your eyes, all you see is blackness, play a game with it. See what it looks like today. Observe what it does. Ask it if it is always black, or can it change color? The process of observing can be fun. People complain, "I close my eyes and I want to see God. I really want to, but He doesn't show up." Come on! You can't even control your own mind. Do you think you can control God? Do not waste your time with such thoughts. Observe. Watch. See what happens.

Q: I have heard you quote from the Bible and wonder why you don't use the Bible more often. J-R: The Bible, however wonderful it is, is not the direct experience of the individual reading the words. In MSIA our focus is on the experience rather than the words...not to say that the Bible isn't important...it is just often misunderstood. Ultimately we all learn by our own experiences.

It is not too soon to consider that one day you will, as will everyone, be giving up everything you possess in this world. Do you realize that you will have the opportunity to delight in dispossessing yourself of the materiality of this world? Would you rather make your passing a futile effort to hang on, not letting go in the slightest way? Or will you already be detached and freely letting go of all that you possess and have acquired?

One becomes acquainted with the Self through the process of spiritual exercises. Many of us have been asleep to ourselves for eons of time. When you take the time each day to sit down and do your spiritual exercises, you allow time to become awakened to yourself again. No one else can really tell you who you are.

In short, let go and let God.

The Mystical Traveler Consciousness reflects exactly what you put out. If you ask for the truth, then demonstrate the truth. If you ask for the truth and demonstrate a lie, your actions will speak louder than words, and the lie will be laid at your doorstep.
