Love itself will let us know it is present and teach us how we should see it.

John-Roger, DSS
When you begin to awaken to the Soul, you grow spiritually. As you awaken and begin to see yourself in spiritual reality, you will see the many times you have misrepresented, betrayed and confused yourself. But if you truly open up and allow yourself to perceive yourself clearly, without distortion, you'll see yourself as the Master sees you. You'll know your own worthiness and beauty, and in that moment you'll experience Baraka -- an essence of divine energy, divine love -- and move into great love for yourself. And you'll also experience Darshan -- a form of spiritual enlightenment -- which opens your eyes to spiritual reality. If you're not ready, it won't happen. When you're ready, there will be no way you can stop it.

Your Christ Consciousness will eventually bring you into a position where you can enter into awareness of your true self, into your own movement of spiritual inner awareness. It will bring you to the point at which you become the messiah, the promised one. You become the alpha and the omega, from everlasting to everlasting -- because you already are. To me, that is the greatest heritage of the Christ Mass, or Christmas, as we celebrate it. We're actually celebrating our own birth. We're celebrating our own resurrection. We're celebrating triumphantly our own movement back into our true self or Christ Consciousness. In fact, many of us are just rushing into it, arms and hearts wide open, full of love, and knowing that not one thing is coming our way that we can't handle.

When Jesus entered onto the planet as a baby, his birth was a phenomenon. Nothing else at the time was quite so phenomenal as when this baby was brought forward, and many people saw the ministry of angels coming forth.

I was having dinner with two friends recently, and I was sitting between them in one of those curved booths at a restaurant. I reached over and touched them and said, "This feels like Christmas to me." They looked at me and I said, "It's because I'm with people who love." Not people I love, but people who love. There is a difference. I didn't have to love them; they were loving.

If we really knew everything, if everything was fully revealed, we would understand.

Q: I have heard you say many times that we are perfectly protected when we are working with the Mystical Traveler. Does this mean on the physical level, too? J-R: The protection is spiritual, not necessarily physical. If a karmic action can be handled in the night travels rather than in the physical, then it may well be that you don't have to go through the action physically. If it is for your highest good for you to go through an action physically, then you will go through it. Don't assume anything; pay attention and don't get yourself into situations where it is obvious that there is potential for physical harm.

Suffering is pretty much somebody's subjective point of view about being deprived of something, and why they're being deprived. And this is based largely upon needs, wants, or desires. But how would we come to a unity of God unless we experienced a lot of the things we call suffering and work? And often our suffering turns us toward greater levels of behavior and understanding. If you had your finger caught in a door and had it slammed on, you suffered pain. When somebody else does it, you immediately have an understanding with them that transcends everything. It's an immediate knowing, and you may be able to assist them by saying something that is very helpful.

John-Roger, DSS
Many people say, "I've been meditating for years and I haven't seen a thing. No fairies, no angels, no sparks, no nothing." I laugh. When we are impatient for results, we are not focusing on love.

Happiness has an effervescent quality, a radiant quality. This is how I relate to happy -- that it's a kind of percolating and has its own source.
