Only human beings are capable of observing the presence of God in all things, including themselves. Human beings are sacred for that very reason. If only you could understand that simple fact, you would never need to read another self-help book!

When someone is confused, when they're disconnected and separate from their true nature, then they will relate to themselves falsely -- as unhappy and sad and depressed and no good and unworthy and rejected. The reality of who you are is you're good, you're blessed, you're happy, you're joyous, you're true, you're whole, you're capable.

Grace is God's righteousness, where "when you do it to the least one of these, you've done it unto me," and "love God with your body, mind, and Soul and your neighbor as yourself." Those who are under the law are not loving themselves. The Bible says, "A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue." Do you understand that? We stop finding faults in people, and we start to understand that what they're going through is their process, and we just let them do it. It's called, "That's their '10-percent level,' their own area of concern."

It's understanding that lifts the consciousness. It's not saying "understanding"; it is living understanding, it is doing understanding, it is where, in the midst of misery, you still have understanding.

Remember there is an innocence, openness, and trust in children that manifests as freedom. If you are going to do something in your home that you don't want the neighbors and everybody else in the world to know about, don't do it in front of your children. They probably don't know a restrictive consciousness, and they'll tell everybody just about everything. Anything you want others to know or don't care if they know, you can do in front of your child. A child communicates its love by information, by talking about the things that are close to it. And one of the things closest to a child is the father and mother and the things they do. So they'll tell the neighbors all about you. You'd better live in the way you want it reported to the world. Live what you want the kids to tell the neighbors, and you'll be in good territory.

I call observation the key to letting go. When something disturbing shows up, and we observe it without reacting emotionally, we do not get thrown off balance. Remember, there is nothing going on that can touch your Spirit. Buildings may be falling down outside, but I still say nothing is going on. Why? Because it happened to the building, not to you.

In circumstances that are about survival, keep your focus on the things that give you survival, that provide you with what you know is important -- like your next breath.

Q: How does one respond to certain aspects of society that are oppressive and still maintain one's individual or spiritual equilibrium? J-R: Well, to me, that's very easy to do because I maintain the physical body here, walking through this world that I would call oppressive, while I live in Spirit, which I would call freedom; and all I do is keep bringing the freedom into this level everywhere I find it.

When you feel like you'd like to give someone a piece of your mind, give them, instead, a piece of your heart; give them love.

Spiritual exercises are designed with the specific intention of getting you off the planet for good. And it is good.
