When you hide something, then you are not functioning in honesty, and you will not have love. When you are open, saying, "You can see everything that is going on," then there is nothing hidden. All is present. That is a very easy way to live and to teach your children to live.

How can something negative push you back in line? Let's say you are doing important work and the phone rings. You forgot to turn on the answering machine and the person calling knows you are there. You can either get frustrated and irritated and answer in a huff, or you can use the phone ringing to remind you to take a breath, to stretch, to say a quick prayer for your children.

When has it ever happened according to your fantasy? Even if how you envision it is very precise, there's still going to be something different about the reality of it. Because we can't really imagine it the way it translates physically. That has to be lived.

You may be in a "not-making-sense" situation. Often we call that education, like, "What am I doing here and why am I learning all this stuff? What am I getting out of it? It doesn't make sense." Often it doesn't, not until you get out. Then the reason why you learned all that may make sense.

The beings who transcend these levels into God's realm, living in Soul eternal, are indeed blessed with that which is for the highest good.

Critical thinking is the process of examining the possibilities, looking at potential outcomes. It becomes negative only if I project my emotion on it. But if I can employ my intellect, just observing, looking, sorting, I can turn the possibilities into usable commodities. How does it work? Here is a little metaphor. You go into a dark room, looking for something. You're not sure where exactly it is in the room. Rather than groping around in the dark for it, the critical thinker looks first for the light switch. When the room is flooded with light it is an easy matter to find what you are looking for.

When you meet God, then you realize that the nature of God is not confinement, is not limitation, is not conditioned reality. The nature of God is open, loving, and joyful and the qualities that we would identify in the recesses of our heart and in the openness of our being.
