Trust yourself, trust your heart. There is great diversity in the world. You are not here to be all things to all people. You are here to serve your Soul's purpose with all that comes in your learning and growth. When you assign yourself to the world issues then you attach yourself to the world. This is not your Soul's purpose. Strive to be of service without making whoever or whatever you are serving a condition of your happiness.

John Morton, DSS
Be yourself, know yourself, and lift other people. It's your heritage to do that anyway, so why not do it now?

John-Roger, DSS
It's the attitude that however the wind blows is fine with you. And if it doesn't blow, that's equally fine. That's getting into unconditionality. It can be a scary place to be when you are used to being controlling, demanding, and spoiled. But regardless, it is the unconditionality of life that must be lived.

John-Roger, DSS
When you attune to the Beloved, you find out that you want to produce unconditional loving and be in that energy field. Those people who are also working in the unconditional energy field start blending together with it. However, if you start to produce unconditional loving with the idea of getting somebody to blend with it, it won't work. That's manipulation and you won't like the consequences. It really has to come from the place of un-condition -- no condition.

When you do spiritual exercises, when you read your Discourses, attend seminars or practice other disciplines that bring the awareness of God and Spirit more present for you, you are putting yourself into a space where the invisible Spirit and the physical Spirit can meet and touch. You have heard people say, "I was touched by Spirit." There is a point of convergence. There is a point at which Spirit can be felt. It will be subtle, but it can be very powerful.

John-Roger, DSS
At some point, it will happen that you stop looking for a teaching to do it for you, and you will accept responsibility for doing it yourself, whether it is giving up habit patterns that no longer work for you, improving your meditation, learning to control your emotions, or whatever. As long as you look outside of yourself for solutions, the teachings will fail, for these teachings are not "out there" written on some piece of paper. These teachings are written in your heart, and once you come to read what is written there, you will know the path you are to travel.

John-Roger, DSS
Inside us, who we are as an eternal being meets the person who is here temporarily. Here the Spirit, the emanation from God, meets us, the selves we know. This is our point of convergence: A point of concentration or attention. The Spirit can be converged inside us in many ways. Someone yelling at us can change our convergence. When Spirit and mind move to the left, we can be very irritated and yell back. But when they move to the right, we say "Aha!" We see the events of the moment more clearly, and new ideas come forward, often quite rapidly. An essential part of your training as a Spiritual Warrior is recognizing when this takes place.

John-Roger, DSS
Attunement with Spirit is going to bring about greater understanding for you and help you be more relaxed and more at ease. Sometimes that calls upon us to let go of some tensions or negative concerns, but it is not a forced action. There's nothing like that coming from the Spirit. What comes from Spirit is an invitation or suggestion for a better opportunity.

There are many things in life you do not have to do. You do not have to have security. Security lies in the inner awareness that there is no security. When you stop fighting for security and recognize that there is none, then there is no more concern about that.
