We teach spiritual exercises as a means to bring forward a discipline inside that brings you into line. You move past everything this world can offer you -- your own personality, other people's personalities, possessions, wealth, glamour, the crazies, the depressions, the illusions, all of it. As you get past these levels, a remarkable thing begins to happen: a dynamic freedom starts appearing with you.

Put the Light around the world. Ask to live each moment in the consciousness of the Light and to be the Light.

The clutter in your life takes energy to maintain. Start with the smallest things. Clear away a little and you'll be amazed at the vast amounts of energy it releases inside of you. Incomplete things also tie up energy. Look at all your unread books, and declare them complete. Guilt -- let go of it, right now. Keep around you only the things that give you energy.

By "doing it for you," people can gain control over you. They may do this inadvertently, thinking they are assisting you by telling you what to do and making your decisions for you. But they are really binding you (not releasing you) by doing this.

Could you be more open so that as you are breathing you cooperate more fully with the Spirit? The transmission from Spirit comes to you from within you. The source is inside. As you become more conscious of your breathing, you can become more conscious of this radiant energy that we refer to as the Light. So one of the things we do when we call ourselves forward into the Light is we bring ourselves into proper relationship with the Spirit.

There is no way to deceive the Spirit. There is no way to deceive God. As you demonstrate your ability to discern truth, to sacrifice the lesser worlds for the greater Spirit, to live in faith and creativity, to make your intelligence and will useful to you, and to be devoted and disciplined in loving service to all, you have anointed yourself in mastership.

The Soul within each person intuitively recognizes the energy from Spirit as its greater reality and moves toward it. In this way we learn and grow in our awareness of God and are finally able to transcend the lower levels of consciousness and reach our home in God.

The most valuable relationship you can have to life is to accept what is, regardless of your preference. It's also the smartest approach because what is, is -- regardless of your preferences, emotions, or judgments. So you may as well accept that relationship.

God will not give you anything you can't handle. Also be aware that you are a powerful creator and that you have the ability to create things that may be more difficult to handle than you had anticipated. So, be wise in your choices, and do the things -- especially spiritual exercises -- that bring loving to your decisions.

The trick is to just keep doing and moving forward into each new moment.
