This is an introductory seminar, in which John-Roger leads off with these words, “It’s pretty
well known that sometimes when I appear in front of groups, strange things take place. Those
strange things aren’t really strange, except that people’s lives will flip around inside of them.
And that is the work of the Spirit.
Through the use of stories and tales, J-R explores many spiritual concepts. “The only thing that I’m really asking you this evening,” J-R says, “is to pay attention to your experiences.”
He’s talking about your emotions, your loving, and the importance of going inward for your
spiritual connection. That’s “that place where we all exist together,” he says, “a oneness,
a loving process.”
As for this earthly level, J-R says, ‘I hear people say, I’m so sick and tired of this place. When’s it going to let up?í It doesn’t let up. It’s not designed to let up. It’s designed to beat you in the head and it does a good job. Have you noticed that? It will beat you with your work,
or your wife or your husband or your children or taxes or something, but it’s going to get its
pound of flesh. We’re all in this level making the comedy of errors, every one of us. So don’t
take your mistakes seriously because later on, you’re going to laugh about them. Much of
life is about the loving consciousness.”
