Welcome to “The Path of the Mystic: A Way of Being for Our Times” – a transformative journey through the mystical traditions that have illuminated the human experience across cultures and epochs. In this 8-week class, we embark on an exhilarating exploration of the wisdom, practices, and insights of mystics from ancient Greece and Egypt to the vibrant tapestry of India, the profound spirituality of the Middle East, and the spirituality behind the diverse paths of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Paganism.

Imagine stepping into a realm where the boundaries of the ordinary dissolve, and the sacred dances freely with the mundane. This class invites you to immerse yourself in the profound teachings of mystics who dared to venture beyond the confines of conventional understanding, seeking direct communion with the Divine. Together, we’ll traverse the labyrinthine corridors of mysticism, uncovering treasures of illumination and revelation that speak directly to our hearts and Souls.

Through the ages, mystics have served as beacons of light, guiding seekers on the path of inner transformation and awakening. Whether it’s the ecstatic poetry of Rumi, the contemplative wisdom of Plotinus, the mystical visions of Hildegard of Bingen, the Tao, or the profound insights of the Upanishads, each tradition offers unique perspectives and practices to help us navigate the complexities of existence and connect with the divine presence that we are immersed in, and that we are.

As we journey through the rich tapestry of mystical traditions, we’ll discover common threads that weave through seemingly disparate paths – the quest for union with the Divine, the cultivation of inner stillness and awareness, and the transformative power of love. Through experiential practices, sacred texts, and lively discussions, we’ll delve into the heart of mysticism, awakening to the timeless truths that transcend cultural boundaries and speak to the universal longing for meaning and connection.

“The Path of the Mystic” is not just an intellectual exploration – it’s an invitation to embody the essence of mysticism in our daily lives. As we delve into the teachings and practices of mystics from diverse traditions, we’ll cultivate a way of being that honors the sacred in all things, embraces the mysteries of existence, and celebrates the infinite potential of the human spirit.

Join us on this extraordinary journey of self-discovery, transformation, and awakening to Soul – for the mystic path beckons, and the adventure of a lifetime awaits!

Each person has to decide how they’re going to awaken themselves to Spirit.
You will awaken. There is no question about that.
When you awaken is your choice.
Spirit does not push or urge. You could embody back on this planet ten million times, and it all takes place right now as far as Spirit is concerned.
That’s why it is perfect. That’s why there are really no catastrophes or disasters.
There is only man’s interpretation of events, and how you choose to interpret them helps determine how you act toward them.
John-Roger, DSS
