Does Feeling Clear Make it Right?
In this brilliant and complex seminar, John-Roger shows us the difference between living a life of separation and living a life focused on oneness….and how those choices connect with what we think we know.
J-R sums up the futility of trying to live life to attract or please someone else. He offers insights about dating, parenting, marriage….and contemporary music! And into all these areas, he says we need to come to a place within ourselves in which we know when to give up and just love. “But if you just give up things without replacing them with something of equal or more value,” he says, “then you’ve destroyed the very thing you’re in the process of loving.” Now what could he possibly mean by that?
Here’s a hint. J-R is speaking. “Those of us who enter into a relationship (for instance) say, ‘I really feel clear about doing this.’ Months later they come back around and say, ‘That was a terrible experience.’ And I say, ‘But you felt so clear.’ ‘I know,’ they say, ‘What was wrong?’ Finally at some point they own up to it. ‘I of myself can do nothing. But that that is — the eternal essence inside of me — is already doing the whole thing.’
