Converting to Mercy
This is a seminar with wonderful stories ranging from John Morton’s experiences in Nigeria, to South Africa where John dedicated a Peace Pole on Robben Island, to the experience of a lovely day in which someone “flipped him off” and he went on a trip into negativity.
On that theme, John suggests, “We can send negativity back to where it came from and eventually there will be a conversion. As we convert our own fears and judgments by having mercy upon our Soul just as God does, then we stand in for God in our own consciousness and have mercy upon ourselves for the angers that visit us, for the againstness and the negative judgment. We can commute the anger, not by condemnation and a sentence of punishment, but by having mercy.”
“When you truly look to your heart,” John says, “when you allow yourself access to what your heart knows, it will never betray you. It doesn’t know how to do that. “Through personal stories and examples, John shows us how to convert to the mercy of the heart.
