This is a laughter-filled seminar full of profound information conveyed by John-Roger through stories of his childhood and youth. He speaks of learning at the deepest level Who he is…the ‘I’ that is the observer, and its relationship to virtue. “I am not my physical body,” he says. “That One who’s back there watching is the One that we’re dealing with truly in this world.” Among his many illustrative stories, J-R tells of a dialogue with a wise woman. He feels he needs to tell her his misdeeds. She tells him he doesn’t have to because that was something he did prior to this moment. “And now that this moment is here, none of those things are you.” J-R responds to her, “Oh! I get it. I’m not my experiences, I’m not what I say, I’m not what I read, I’m not what I do. I made all those me and they aren’t; I am me. I.” The woman points out that in his response is the virtuous one. “And then I said, virtue is its own reward,” J-R reports. “And I felt that was like the first time those words were ever spoken. Anywhere on the planet.” This seminar is a demonstration of virtue and how to become aware of Who you are.
