Everybody on earth has an ego and in the beginning of this laughter-filled seminar, John-Roger does a clear, helpful job of delineating various ego types and describing how we can each manage our own ego. J-R also addresses the mental and emotional parts of ourselves and how those parts operate together with each ego.
Well, what does our ego have to do with connecting with God? And what is Grace?
J-R says, “If you approach God angrily, what will God fill you with? Anger. What if you approach God with self-righteousness? What’s he going to fill you with? Self-righteousness. What if you approach God as if you were doing God’s will, and let him fulfill you for his highest good? What will you get? Probably more than you ever thought possible. But his giving is not always for the physical world. His giving is for the Kingdom of Heaven. And that resides within.”
