What is Left-Sided and Right-Sided Energy? (Sept. '91)
In response to questions in a retreat setting, John-Roger begins by explaining the complexities that go into clarifying and balancing life's energy fields. He points out that there are really only two choices when it comes to energy and we could call those right- and left-sided energies. After an entertaining summary of which humans and institutions fit into left- and right-sided categories, J-R speaks about how we can understand these energies with the goal of lifting into Spirit. "God is a balanced energy," J-R says, "so you have to have someone above the left- and right-sided energies who can assist you. The thing you're always dealing with is: what are you doing with the energy field?"
A question is then asked about Soul Transcendence, and J-R's response is deeply fascinating because he lines out our purpose and progress as human beings who swing back into life again and again until we reach Soul Consciousness. "The consciousness we deal with doesn't die, it just doesn't," J-R says, "It doesn't know how to die. The level of consciousness that we live in dies in terms of 'shutting off' but it also turns back on again. The more we can keep that consciousness on, the more we can see at what part in our awareness we transcend. And by ‘transcend,' I mean to bypass all the levels of who we are into the oneness of God. The at-one-ment."
